Sent from my iPhone using VST[/quote'] I know that it is hard when you are working hard and not making the same progress as others. The reality is that we are all different. We have different approaches or even our genetics might play a role. How are you doing with drinking Water, eating Protein and exercising? There are so many variables that can contribute to different results. Good luck!

January 11, 201313 yr Author I do have to admit, I haven't worked out like I did at the beginning. I was outside walking for a couple of hours each night until winter hit. But I have started some aerobic DVD's and I lost 4 lbs in a week. My Water and Protein are good. I even bought beneprotein and sprinkle it on my food. It does get frustrating, when you see so many losing so much faster. I know everyone is different. So I have to keep reminding myself of that. Sent from my iPhone using VST
January 11, 201313 yr My surgery was July 18th, and I've lost 70. So, I'm right there with you!!! I've got to get back to exercising regularly, too. My hair has fallen out tremendously...handfuls every single day. I'm hoping and praying that stops soon. My hair was already so thin, and now I can see my scalp all through my hair. I'm doing all I can-biotin, vitamins, protein, and special shampoos. Oh well, enough of my pity self!! I feel great for losing what I have; I gotta get my butt back to the gym! Best wishes & success to everyone!
January 11, 201313 yr Debbie, you are doing great! I don't think I have ever lost 68lbs in 6 months...wait...I've never lost 68lbs period. Pat yourself on the back for how far you have come and all the new things you can do now. Keep up the good work!

As a fellow July Sleever (7-2-2012), most of my hair loss occurred between month 3 and month 5 post op. now that we are at about 6 months, it is pretty much done shedding. Hang in there! Your hair will come back soon and be more beautiful then ever.

March 20, 201313 yr Author I was sleeved July 23rd and down 73 lbs. I hit a plateau for almost 8 wks. Now I am losing again.
March 20, 201313 yr Doing well. Sleeved July 2nd 2012. Hit goal about a month ago and +- a few lbs depending on what my body wants to do with water. Started at 360 a month before surgery and am 180 today. I stalled out a lot during the loss phase, probably every 2 weeks after October 2012. Just kept my chin up and stuck to plan. Did not allow the desire to snack or eat snack related foods overwhelm my desire to achieve success. I started out just walking every day after surgery and slowly increased miles and intensity until switching over to ellyptical at month 2. Did ellyptical 1/2 heartily until month 5, but it certainly helped. Started running at month 5 after being motivated by many VST runners. Have not looked back since figuratively. Today I am running 10 k and working on training for a 1/2 by summer. It is amazing what you can do by setting personal goals and sticking to it. Also started cross fit a few weeks ago with an eventualgoal of becoming athlete strong. I am not so strong at the moment. Good luck and keep your eyes on the prize, whatever that may be for you. Feel free to PM me if you want.
