In October of 2010 I had lap band surgery. It was pretty much hell for me the entire time. Food would get stuck daily and I threw up almost every day. Started eating unhealthy foods like chips and fried good because that seemed to be the only things that would go down. I lost 65 pounds total but that was all in the beginning. I did not lose or gain any weight for the last year and a half. Over the past month I was suddenly unable to eat at all. I even had a hard time holding down liquids. Went to the doctor he realized my lap band port had flipped over and after messing with it for a while. leaving bruised and in pain he was able to flip it back and removed almost all of the fluid. All of a sudden I could eat, it was a miracle, I went a little crazy and ate everything I could for about a week, pizza, burgers, steak, chicken and salads....yummy. Then my doctor and I talked he suggested a revison surgery to remove the lap band and get the gastric sleeve after some consideration I agreed. I had my surgery on May 3rd had the band removed and to the gastric sleeve......wow let this new journey begin.
