thanks. the doctor used the same incisions i had when i got the lap band and i just don't remember it itching this much.

Mine itched too. It was awful. After 4 or 5 weeks it quit itching but I was sure miserable until then.

Do you have steri strips still on? OMG that adhesive itched so bad! Rubbing alcohol helped remove the residue and calm the itch.

Just make sure you don't have redness or welts around your incisions. I ended up having a reaction to dermabond and was on a ton of antihistamines and steroids!!

I had my surgery Monday and I'm already starting to itch, it is my biggest incision that's really bad. I have 4 staples and a clear bandage on it, but it is killing me!! That and the drain site, which is covered with gauze.

That was the cause of my itching, the adhesive from the steri strips.
