Doh! He doesn't meet the 6ft criteria.

I'm just hovering at the same weight, totally my own fault as I am not focused. I know what I need to do but just not in the mood at the moment. I supposed I'm just concentrating on the other things going on. At least it is not going up and I am forcing myself to keep the exercise up as I do think that this helps with mood swings.

I'm going to clean out the freezer today so that I can make room for Christmas food and start making a list. I wonder what I will find at the bottom of the drawers? I just presume the dog will have an interesting dinner tonight. I'm a feeder so I will enjoy this job.

Am I behind or in front of you ladies (time) I can never work it out. Have a good day.

It is easy for me to remember, I work for a European based company. I start work no later than 6am (PST - west coast of usa) so I can do 3pm meetings with the guys in Germany and Netherlands; which is 9am for my colleagues in Boston (east coast of usa). So, European CET day starts 9 hours earlier that west coast of usa; 6 hours before East coast USA,

UK is of course one hour behind CET.

What blows my mind is when you throw Asia, Australia into the mix. Once you cross the international dateline, I can't make any sense of it and need to use some sort of online calculator. Its great fun when I need to schedule meetings crossing about 6 timezones and the dateline.... grrr... trust me, somebody, usually more that one person winds up with a really really bad meeting time!

I sometimes miss the good ole days when everbody I needed to work with was sitting in the same building as me, but i surely have experienced alot more of the world since my job changed to working with teams everywhere! That part I like.

So, scale says 148.9 two days in a row. I think I need to see the 14x for a week before I believe.... :)

so, next week I think I will do two fast days... thinking Tues and Friday. Wait, I think I am having dinner with a friend on Tuesday so that might not work. Dang, Wed and Friday? Maybe Monday, Wed and Friday to counterbalance having pie and wine on Thursday? haha!!!

I am not hosting turkey day so easier for me to leave the leftovers somewhere else. I am making side dishes and I plan to make quantities such that there won't be leftovers - I am stuck making the carby food i really don't need (mashed potato and gravy and the yams are my assignment!) so i don't need to make a crazy portion and be talked into taking it home.

Especially for those in the USA - what are you thinking for Thanksgiving feast week?

I have seen the 160's two days in a row... I think i will need about 14 to really believe it as well....

I'm a veggie, so will make anything I want to eat that usually is not veggie... I make a mean fake turkey, dressing, gravy and will make sugar free cranberry sauce for me and my dad... and a sugar free desert or two... I look forward to leftovers, fake turkey sandwiches with cranberry is where its at for me this time of year! I am really going to test the 5:2 principles until the new year... AM weigh-in, eat it, write it down!

Cowgirl I'm wondering about what days to fast next week too...

I have never switched my days not once since starting 5:2 I've skipped fasts because of vacation but not said "oh today's not good I'll do tomorrow"

only because I know me and when I start doing that, tomorrow never comes :(

I'm struggling and the holidays aren't even here yet...

I realized I'm eating like someone who's maintenance even though I don't think I'm quite there yet.. I'm holding somewhat steady between 149 and 150 but I'm finding myself getting more lax everyday!!

Yesterday my son had a potluck at his school and we had a ton of pumpkin chocolate chip Cookies left so they came back home with us... I ate 4 last night :(

Thinking about it, my carb sugar load has been heavy all week and Protein consumption is down. I'm scared, scared of myself actually.

Sorry this post turned out to be just another all about me.. Anyway fast next week for me perhaps Tuesday and Friday.

Sorry guys I wasn't near my PC to check this site. I accessed this group through my IPHONE the other day. The group came up on the current thread in which it never has for me before. It might have been a glimpse in the system. I went back a couple hours later and I couldn't find the post again........Need to go catch up with what I've missed in the last day or so......

For me, I am sticking to eating mostly Protein today and tomorrow with some highly nutritious greens and will be exercising by walking. I seem to have become a couch potato.... :P LOL

My family wants this feast for Thanksgiving and I really don't want a feast. I want nothing but safe foods of Proteins and veggies.....My husband is having his demons come out and wants to buy 2 pies from Marie Calendars..........:( The devil is out... What, you have devil cookies on your counter? I'd surely convinced myself to eat those stupid cookies. today I'm going through my kitchen and throwing out stuff like that.....My family doesn't need to eat those either....Can you throw the cookies down the garbage disposal? We can do this........Tame the carb monster before it gets the best of you......I love your 149 lb range..... :P

Oh skinniness!

I wish I could throw them away! I did "confess" to the family last night about my cookie raid they assured me the rest will be eaten today (bless their hearts:p)

My lovely family, they are all thin.. And don't see the need to suffer unduly.. So I keep mostly good things but crap makes it way in too. Like the tray of pumpkin muffins my husband brought home last week.. Tis the season of baked goods you know..

Tonight my daughter is having 2 of her friends over to watch movies and spend the night. And OMG these girls eat like SH*T! So it's all about my willpower today because every nasty chip, candy, pizza and cookie will be brought into my house.

Teenagers gotta love em...,

I have very young adults still living at home and they eat total cr**! i do understand that I'm the one with the eating problem so there are some things I let go....But today, I'm taking my kitchen back. counter tops will be cleared (not that there is that much) but ready for the feast next Thursday. It does make me a bit sad bc I do want to indulge myself with the special foods we cook. but I can't. So I will work on reminding myself that "I really don't need all that food anyways!" This was the epiphany that I had during the process of getting ready for my surgery. Have a wonderful day everyone. :P

I will try to fast Mon and Wed. Im sure I will eat more on feast days... But with the fast days in place, I think it will work. I know I/we are not just like the normal bloke that eats whatever s/he wants on feast days... but I will test it a little bit next week. Write it down, and try to get in some walking.... my dance class is off next week.....

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
