Vitamins making me nauseated

Recommended Posts

Is anyone else feeling nauseated after chewing the Vitamins. I am taking 2 Bariatric Advantage complete multiple formula, if so, any suggestions. I have been fine with food just this Vitamin issue. I am three weeks post surgery.

I had this problem about 10 days out of surgery - switched to a different brand (now using Opurity) and all is well. I did some research and found that many people have nausea problems with Bariatric Advantage.< /p>

Try taking them at night. You will sleep through any nausea.

I was on BA as well with the same problem, so much so that I could not get my Water in. I switched to Flintstones and now my energy is skyrocketed.

I bought the Celebrate bari chewable vitamins for after surgery, and they made me nauseated. It didn't matter what time of day I took them, on an empty or with food in my stomach... I always got this nauseated feeling and increased saliva production. 3 times I vomited and I said enough was enough. I switched to One A Day gummy vitamins. They aren't "bari" Vitamins, but at least I'm getting something in and I feel better.

I am on the fusion Vitamins 3 times daily. I cannot gag these Vitamins down. I am 18 days post op and the nausea hits when I take one. I get these from my dr.'s Ofc.

When he released me from hospital he said to take these:

1. Multivitamins plus Iron. 1 tab twice daily

2. Calcium citrate. 1200-1600 mg. 1 tab daily

3. Vitamin B12 sublingual

I'm the same ill feel sick after just the multi Vitamin everything I'm fine with. I take it at night and if I don't fall right asleep I start feeling it but I have learned if you take it and then eat something small like part of a Protein Bar you don't get sick.

II had purchased the opurity Vitamins. I took one on a Monday and felt sick and had hot saliva fill my mouth but didn't get sick. Thought maybe it was an empty stomach issue so the next morning I took it after eating and threw up in my trash can at work. I bought pre-natal gummie vitamins at Wal-Mart and have taken almost the whole bottle with no problems. I take the Viactiv calcium chews, really like the chocolate but not so crazy about the caramel ones. Just started taking Biotin but would like some feedback on dosage. I just picked a bottle since I hadn't researched it properly before I went to the store.

I was doing Centrum chewables and couldn't stand it. My dr said I could get non chewable and cut them if I needed to. Now I take Centrum for women under fifty- SAMs brand- and swallow them whole.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
