I'm 5 months out from surgery and I've lost 94 pounds. I have 55 pounds left to lose to reach my goal of 125. I'm 5 ft tall. I'm so excited about the weight I've lost so far and feel a million times better.

I hesitate to post this because the before pic is me in my underwear but It's the only pic I have that really shows the difference. I hope it doesn't offend anyone.

My family is getting ready to go on a beach trip and I bought a swim suit. I got a halter bikini top and swim shorts. I tried to find a pic of me last year at the beach but I couldn't find any that showed me from the shoulders down...but I found this underwear pic from the night before surgery.

I've lost a total of 64 inches so far! I've lost 13.5 inches from my hips and 10 inches from each thigh!! I'm amazed at the process and I'm loving this journey!

Please' date=' if underwear offends you, do not click on the pic. :-)[/quote']

Wow! I'm so excited!!! On my way to the hospital now. You are so inspiring & beautiful! Thanks so much for sharing!

I don't think I am more successful than others. My sleeve seems to be pretty small. I can only eat about an ounce or a little more at a time. I keep my calories pretty low...about 600 per day and I keep my carbs under 20 if I can... I don't do well with my Protein though. I never get enough...I don't recommend that though.

I do exercise almost every day. I think that really has helped with the weight loss.

I kept my calories low like you are doing. Not because I really tried, but because I couldn't eat much. I didn't track or worry about carbs because my doctor didn't, not unless a patient isn't losing. I did good with my Protein, I started getting in all 60 grams with food at 2.5 months. I ate meat, tuna, I always kept a bag of shrimp to steam, we grilled fish a lot, 1% cottage cheese and eggs, plus I started and ended every day with a cup of skim milk, I still do this most of the time. All my go to foods!!! You're doing great, congrats!

Thanks for all the great comments! To all of you who are just starting, hang in there! The beginning is a little bit rough, but don't let that get you down...it does get better and you will lose the weight! Just follow your doctor's plan as closely as you can! :-)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
