7 week long stall....:(

Recommended Posts

I need some help or maybe encouragement. I have been in a stall for about 7 weeks now, stopped losing inches about 4 weeks ago. I totally need to put the scale away. I've lost 40 lbs. but have gone up and down between 166 and 168. This am it was 165, I was ecstatic, then this afternoon I'm 169. SO frustrating. I have increased my protein/water a few days ago. Don't exercise as much as id like, but started that too.

My day:

Am Protein Shake w/ milk 180 cal 40 gram Protein

20 oz Water

1 small banana ?

10oz water

2 slices of pepper jack cheese 140 cal

2 slices of turkey 70 cal

10oz water

1 med peach ?

1 Protein shake w/ milk 180 cal 40 protein

Then for dinner a small dark green salad

Then I will be drinking more water...

Just wondering if there is something I should/could be doing different.

Help.....

You should try going back to a liquid diet or SOMETIMES eating some extra carbs/sweets does the trick. But I would suggest going back to liquids for a few days maybe even a week first

main thing ... do not weigh everyday and do not weight more than once a day. Especially in the evenings after you've had your belly full of food.< /p>

I would try to get more Protein from solid protein sources instead of the shakes. After the first 8 weeks, my surgeon likes us to avoid the shakes unless you are really under on protein on a certain day. I would replace the fruit Snacks (higher sugar/higher carb) with a low-carb veggie snack with protein...like maybe some red pepper strips and a babybel lite cheese, or raw veggies with Greek yogurt with dill mixed in as a dip. Good luck!!!

Your morning weight after you go to the barroom is your truest weight. Everything you eat and drink after that will show up on the scale. Just 2 cups of Water you drink would = 1 pound on the scale. so just go with your morning weight.

I'm in the same position. My stall has been going for nearly 6 weeks. I'm just over 3 months out. I work out 4-5 days/week and get tons of Protein and Water every day. I try to oscillate between an immaculate diet and getting some carbs in to see if I can make the scale budge. Nothing is working. I've been going up and down between 208 and 211 for almost a month and a half. This sucks!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
