Where does everyone buy their protein shakes?

My band revision is on July 16 so I ordered a 11 pack sample pack of Syntrax nectar from BJs Bariatrics.com for $15.00 +$4 shipping. Who used Nectar and is it good? When I had my band I spent a fortune at GNC.com and hated everytning. So I ordered a sample pack. Website says that each individual flavor (2.8 lbs or 36 servings) is $35.00. Can I get a better deal somewhere else? I've checked Amazon and its about the same. Also, should I get an unflavored one also so I can put it in juice, crystal lite, etc? Is it really flavorless?

Just curious which brnds are yummy and where I can get the best deal...

I just use Pure Protein and get it at the grocery store (Ralphs) for $18/tub. I saw it at Costco and Sam's club for $24/tub. I use the Vanilla Cream and Chocolate. I like both of them, although, I will say that I notice they taste "different" post-surgery. Not bad, just different. I still like them, but they aren't quite as good as they once were. :( Best of luck to you!

I purchase Premier Chocolate 30g Protein Shakes at Costco and they are really good. You can also get them at SAMs club.

I get isopure 40g fruit drinks from LuckyVitamin.com I do not like the chocolate vanilla style shakes but really find these drinks pretty good. Grape and orange are my go to

I drink the EAS Myoplex carb control chocolate fudge, you can get it at sams club. add Peanut butter, fruit, etc...

I'm a fan of Syntrax Nectar (the fruity flavors) - I like them because I can mix them with Water. My favorite is GNC Wheybolic Extreme 60 chocolate - I mix it with fat-free milk but it's the only brand of chocolate that is okay with water. I also like powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury Chocolate Splendor but I will only mix it with milk.

As for the unflavored, I use Unjury but you have to be careful not to mix it into anything that is over 140 degrees or it will clump.

Whey protein from Walmart. Flavors pretty good, the big tub for $15.99 last for 30 days. Just tried something called Muscle Milk which is good too.

Smoothie King Gladiator powder is very tasty, but is only sold (I think) at Smoothie King stores.

The Premiere Protein (chocolate flavor) from Costco is the only one that I really don't mind. If you get it cold enough it can taste like chocolate milk.

I bought some of these. I am glad they r the right kind

I love Syntrax nectar Protein powders. I use the chocolate, Cappuccino or vanilla daily - a scoop (sometimes two) mixed into coffee, Water or tea. I honestly think the chocolate and cappucinno are fine in water. To me it tastes like Yoo-Hoo or a coffee drink and my husband (not sleeved, not overweight) agrees and drinks it sometimes, too. The vanilla is best mixed. I usually mix it with coffee or tea, like I said, but I've been known to shake it up with some orange crystal light or some OJ in the past.

The fruit flavors are hit or miss for me. I like the Fuzzy Navel and the Natural line. They're okay with water but best with Crystal Light, in my opinion.

And after trying about ten different unflavored Proteins, the Syntrax Unflavored is my absolute favorite. I put it in all sorts of things, including baked goods, and it has never left any funky taste behind. It smells a bit in the container but all protein does, I think.

I buy mine on Amazon - only because I do subscribe and save for a lot of my household staple items so I save 20% each month and get free shipping, too.

Oh - and I'd be hesitant about buying too much before the surgery. Have some of a Protein that you already like on hand, of course. But my tastes changed dramatically post op. And over the course of the first year my "favorite" protein must have changed about seven times.

There are several sites out there that do samples. I used vitalady's site to shop samples of many different brands and flavors and bought tubs of what I really liked. If you like sweet things Syntha-6 shakes are wonderful - like a treat - but higher in calories and lower in protein. But if you find yourself unable to find a protein you like post op, give them a try.

I buy Unjury from my dr, and I'm trying to find somewhere to buy Isopure that is cheaper than GNC.

I used unjury chicken flavored and GNC's Gold Standard Whey Protein in Vanilla. My trainer recommended the GNC Gold Standard Whey and my Dr. recommended the Unjury because I had a problem with lactose post-op.
