Thank you and OMG! The purée stage was the worse for me. Honestly I would say about 1/2months til now for me is when I became to be happy with what I was able to eat. It was horrible, but you can do it. Stick to everything they tell u to eat and not to eat. You'll do great. The worse for me was not being able to eat "real" food. But now I know and actually have grown into a habit. Lol I don't eat for taste anymore really. I just get full.

Well what I try to do is just try things. Today I know I'm probably little crazy to try it so early but I boil one egg and added some mayo for egg salad chopped it up really really small. Almost like the consistency of cottage cheese. And it was delicious. Didnt hurt me didn't vomit or feel sick at all. The only problem I have with everything is gas :( I take gas x after every meal. Do u suggest anything yummy that u ate at the beginning stages. I just need a bit of flavor and I'm full lol

So just regular scramble eggs? My list says runny I will not eat yucky runny eggs I like my scrambled eggs well done. I rather have a boiled egg..what kind of fruits did they say was ok. The only fruit said was ok was peaches in a can. My program is a bit overwhelming. So many others did differently

I'm 24 I was sleeved on June 4th and it has been a roller coaster ride for the past 2 weeks but every day gets better and I am finally able to get more foods/liquids down, sleep more comfortably, and move around a bit more. I am down 20 pounds so far! Healthy is starting to look good on me :) I am so excited for this journey and I'm glad you posted for people your age because it is helpful.

It's great to meet you all! I'm glad there's so many young people on here because sometimes I feel like there's still a social stigma about people our age. When I told my friends and people close to me, they were supportive but I could tell they were a bit surprised that I wanted to do this. I don't think they realized how difficult it was to try and lose weight on my own. I also wanted to give myself a second chance to live. I'm hoping this tool will give me more self-confidence and opportunities to my life.

I'm excited to hopefully keep in touch with everyone! I know there's lots of helpful forum posts on here but I thought it would be good to have a place to bring up questions, stories, concerns, etc. specific to our age range.

I've been fairly lucky with my recovery so far--I haven't had any problems with the food stages although I found myself getting sick of eating the same foods. I'm looking forward to continuing to see the progress of the next few months.

I'm 24 and was sleeved on Friday! So far 15 lbs down, including 1 week pre-op diet :) Nice I meet all of you. Any San Francisco folks in this bunch? It would be cool to find some young sleevers to have tea with once a month in the city, or something!

I enjoy reading everyone's posts on the forum and seeing people's experiences and progress but I'm still a little new here. I am 23 and was sleeved just under a month ago. I wanted to find more people around my age who have also been sleeved or are considering/planning on being sleeved. I'm interested in hearing about your experiences' date=' sharing goals, etc. <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />[/quote']

Hi Cait! My name is Stephanie and I'm 24. I was just sleeved 6/11. I'm down 31 pounds total including the 2 wk pre op diet. I suck at getting all my Protein in, but finally got my Water in and all. It's nice having people around our age that we can connect to.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
