Marissa,

You might want to check in your healthfood store for "Oxbile" --- I haven't tried it myself, but a friend's mother swears by it. Says it works wonders for those suffering severe gas pain.

Other than that, walking around, and keep taking your pain medication. If your shoulder hurts, try making a hot/warm pack for it: Pour some dry, uncooked rice into an old pillowcase, tie it closed, zap it in the microwave for about 2 minutes...

Hey, at least we're laughing. I wasn't sure if I'd ever laugh again after the pain I had on day 3! OH the gas.....Made me so nauseated, I was terrified I'd end up wretching over the throne....never did, though. So NOT funny...

TG --- Didn't your doc prescribe you some anti-nausea med, like liquid phenergan?

My doc prescribed a freaking pint of it, because he doesn't want me puking at. All. I haven't used it much, save for the Splendid Splenda Mistake and BurpFest '07...

Glad to be of help, BabyGrl! You can buy those rice bags too, in all shapes and sizes. Might as well, too, with the money you're saving on food. LOL! :biggrin1:

*frowns, looks in own pocketbook, and dodges a moth*

Maybe not... LOL...

OH the gas is back folk the gas is back.

My wallet has been empty for at least a week now. I did however just fill a pillowcase with some white and borwn rice to heat up lol.

I had anti nausea meds, but it was in suppository form....I used one, and it didn't help that much. Altho, it MAY have had SOMETHING to do with the fact that I didn't ACTUALLY have to go hurl...

TG,

Ha! More like a baby, a 5-year old, an 8 year old, and a husband!

Bwaha!

Just kidding.

My 8-year old is really grown up.

Bwahaha!

Actually, my husband's been a real sweetheart.

In all honesty, I'm thinking I'm running on pure, 100%, Grade-A, Ultra-Pasturized Insanity! :biggrin1:

(I could've sworn I've mentioned my Most-Excellent Pain Medicine. Didn't I? )

LMFAO! Suppository form? Ugh. That's much less fun. Ask your doc for liquid phenergan.

BG -- I hope Uncle Ben helps!

My hubby has been SO awesome this week, too.:clap2: I'd properly thank him, but I think it may be a couple more weeks before I feel up to that....:heh:

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
