Sus, congrats on losing 2kg, great job!!

Ok, now I can't decide if I am hungry or if I have gas???

My stomach hurts up under my breast bone, thats not where it hurt before.... I cant figure it out. I am pretty sure I am not eating enough at this point.

What is everyone else eating and how much?

My food so far today. Atkins shake sipped on for two hours, 1/3 c of broccoli Soup with 1/8 c melted cheddar in it, then these chocolate pb "fudge" made with Protein Powder that has 11gms protien per square, I had two of those.

Any thoughts, anyone else having more food, less food, unable to eat??

Ooooh! Melted cheddar! I hadn't even thought of that! And I'd made cheesy mashed potatoes for the family last night with shredded and melted cheddar! DUH! *curses* LOL! Oooh, but broccoli? Wow - that would totally make my burpfest into a burpapolooza.

I haven't forayed yet into "solids" or "pureeds" yet... Although I'm tempted to try and do something with the ricotta cheese I bought. Haven't a clue as to what though. Thought I'd search the recipe forum.

Just a sec while I measure the teacup I've been drinking my "meals" from... Okay, it holds 3/4 of a cup of liquid. So I've actually been eating "less" than I thought. I hope I haven't stretched anything though, but I've been reading that if you eat too much, you productive burp, and I certainly haven't done that yet (knocks wood).

Oh! One thing absolutely tasty to drink that my mom-in-law sent me: Packets of ginger powder. Add boiling Water and a teensy bit of sugar, and it feels sooooo good on your throat, your sore tummy, and has helped settle my gas sometimes.

Think I'll make myself a mug of it now...

The gas bubble that you're feeling is in your abdomen cavity, not in your digestive tract. You won't be able to do anything to get rid of it (burp or otherwise....), so they told me to just walk, walk, walk. It's SO cold here, so I would just pace around my house for a bit, or they said I could rock in a rocking chair. It eventually is absorbed by your body and the pain gets less and less, so in a couple more days you should be feeling better. Hope that helps!

I have found mixing my protien powder with a spoon instead or shaking or blending it makes it less airy and it does not bubble so much inside me.

Oh and poo alert--I went lol. I feel much better now

Normal, but it hurts like hell. I kept waiting to keel over with a heart attack or something, except the pain was right in the center, right under my breastbone. OWWWWWWWWWW!

Much better now, though. Still get a twinge several times a day, but it's not constant like it was.

Oh, and I'm glad to hear you finally got to poo, Babygrl! I've had the opposite problem, diarrhea with gas.... Horrible combination. Hubby hears me over the fan in the bathroom from clear in the other end of the house! (blushing!)

Krysia, I'm with you, I'm getting tired VERY early in the evenings. Of course, that may be because we're not really getting GOOD sleep, just ok sleep, and we're not well rested. At least I'm not.

Actually, I've been lucky... I've been able to sleep rather comfortably. I've been in the "guest bedroom" --to be my son's room-- with my 1-year old son in his crib next to me. I used a support blanket in the beginning when I turned to sleep on my sides (as I did in the hospital), but I haven't needed it the last couple of days. Of course, I also make sure to take the larger end of a dose of pain med just before bedtime too.

Then again, it wasn't all that long ago that I'd had my third cesarean section, so perhaps I'm used to it. LOL!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
