My doc said "I am not operating "down there" why would you have to not have sex?" Then went on to say "Just know your body. If its ok with your body it's ok. If it hurts stop."

Well I was It technically is in your system as soon as you get the shot. My doctor told me to still use condemns for the first week to be safe (I did) My doctor said even if I didn't though I'd be fine.

sex just gets better and better...the more weight comes off! I think you are fine though. My dr. said I was approved for any activity as long as it didn't cause pain!

Wow I was told that it took a month to be in your system..not on depo anymore though...my primary wouldnt even let me consider this surgery on depo since the risk of weight gain. I'm on mirena now

When I went back for my two week post op I asked the NP if sex was okay. Her response was, "You mean you're not already?" I had just been to my OBGYN that same day for my 6 weeks post partum visit and was released from him. As far as the sleeve surgery went, I don't think I had any restrictions as far as sex goes, probably no sex swing though ;)

I agree with the smaller comment. I don't think that it is smaller versus I have been building muscles in my core etc.

But sex is better than ever and you better damn well believe I count it as Cardio!

Yeah my doctor even gave me papers explaining how quickly it's in your system. My doctor doesn't like soon mirena or any other IUD on people who haven't had any children yet. As far as weight gain goes I gained tons of weight when I took bc pills. I haven't gained any weight due to mirena yet. I took my bc pill until the day I had surgery. I started my period the day after surgery so 4 days later I got my shot.

Just like diets with surgeons..obgyns differ so much in their opinions too..mine tells me mirena is perfect for people before kids lol.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
