We were told we could have Peanut Butter on our pureed diet...it is good for when I feel like my sugars are getting low I just get a baby spoon of it and it really helps me out!

This may be a stupid question, but how much Peanut Butter are y'all able to eat at one time?

Wow, Peanut Butter just seems to thick & gooey I was surprised how early people can eat it. I just looked at my post op instructions and it states peanut butter

in the puree' stage which I am in now. I haven't had PB for a very looong time because I cant just eat a spoonful. Well NOW I bet I cant even eat a spoonful but I'm still askeerd of it from before.

Seriously I think if I take one little lick of it I will really be bothered that I can't have more so I think I better just move along.

Silly question- do you just eat it off the spoon or do you put it on something? Is it "satisfying" eating it off the spoon and does it give you a "full" message? I too would be afraid that 1 would lead to another and just a bit more. Just starting per-op today so won't need to worry about that for a bit! Surgery on the 24th.

They didnt give us an amount. They did suggest PB2 over regular Peanut Butter but did say we can have regular. Our Nut suggested as a snack between meals as a source of Protein. If I have any it is only a baby spoonful and that takes me 5-10 mins to lick on that.

I have two tablespoons of natural chunky and I put it in a bowl and snack on it with a baby spoon. It is a really good go to snack for me.

I'm in the pureed stage and I eat whipped Peanut Butter. It is so soft and creamy and not as dense as regular. I just get a teaspoon and lick it like a lollipop over about 5 minutes. Helps when I feel a little weak or tired

I get those children's on the go packets. It's probably a a large tablespoon. My nut wants me to put it on a saltine , Usually not enough room for that ....

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
