Today has been very difficult for me. I just really want some real food. I get full from broth, but I just really want something solid. I hope this gets easier.

It will get easier. You want to chew something. I crushed a bunch of ice and ate that. It seemed to satisfy the need to chew. It only lasts for a few days.

It does.. How far out are you? I know the liquid diet after surgery is in my book the hardest!

The pre op liquid diet was easier to me.

I think because I wanted the "comfort" from food.< /p>

We put ourselves in this major painful and stressful situation and our comfort was ripped away too!

Just know that this stage is hard but it's for a very good reason. It's not a "diet" to lose weight it is so the staple line on your stomach can heal problem free.

Hang in there :)

I was sleeved June 3. Thanks for the encouragement! I know it's more mental than actual hunger. I can have broth and will be full. I think I just miss solid foods. Lol. Down 19 pounds since Monday

I was sleeved 5/14 and I'm back on puree b/c my tummy didn't like softs when I tried them this past week. I went to my son's baseball tourney all day yesterday(my first all day outing since surgery) and I was sitting around all the parents eating snack shack foods..soft pretzels, bbq, burgers & hot dogs, nachos...it was tough, but I stayed focused on my son and the game and I made it through.

I was sleeved on 6/3. I can't say that I'm craving any foods. I haven't had anything but Water and Isopure. Even though the Isopure has 40g of Protein per bottle, it takes me 3 days to finish one. I've lost 12lbs post-op. Haven't had much pain but definitely low on energy.

Same here I was sleeved 5/30. Still on liquids but now can have shakes and milk...so I make a Cookies and cream shake (syntrax) with almond milk and crushed ice...put in magic bullitt...yummy...but I still want some food. I know I can not have it. It's been 10 days out....pretty hard.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
