im sure this has been asked here before and im not even sure if this is where i would ask. But i had my lap band removed 1 1/2 ago and getting the sleeve july 1st. Can you tell me how your liking the sleeve? How much you have lost since switching? and if you think you have made the right decision? thanks!!

Love it! Three weeks out and twenty lbs. Down. So glad I did it!

I HATE MY BAND! I had it done 8 years ago and it has never worked right! I believe the band is a worthless surgery. I can have all the restriction in the world and all that happens is restriction while you're starving surrounded by food. Praise God I get mine out and sleeved soon! Good luck to you!

Big difference!! I am 4 weeks post op with the sleeve and love every minute. So far no issues. I think it helps that we already know to eat slow and take little bites, already gave up soda and used to not drinking with meals. To me those would be the hard things to learn after the sleeve. So far i have had no issues. I have lost 18 lbs in 4 weeks and happily on my way! Good luck!!!

Did you have a band first? Did it not work for you?

I'll be band to sleeve on Monday' date=' hoping they can do it in one surgery!![/quote']

Me too! Less that 24 hours before I report to the hospital!

I had my revision September 10, 2012 and it was absolutely the best decision I could have made. I learned all the things I needed to know: small portions/bites, eating slowly, no drinking with food, what foods to eat with the band so the transition was seamless. Reached goal weight in 6 months less a day!! Best wishes to you!!

My revision surgery is coming up, June 25th...

That's today good luck to you :)

I revised on 5/22 so about 5 weeks out. My band was all good for the first year then all went to hell for the next two years. I'm down 16 pounds since my sleeve and I love it! No issues and it was seamless for me since I already knew what to do and what not to do. I'm greatful that I have the sleeve now and wouldn't change it for anything since I know this time I WILL get to goal!
