To All My Fellow June Sleevers........

With surgery just a few days away, I decided to write this post and PROMISE to post my immediate pre and post op experience. I have followed several "pre sleevers" only to have them stop posting once they had their surgeries. I get it. We all have lives and have those things that come up. I place no blame. But, I also know that there are others, who have upcoming surgeries, that will benefit from seeing the experience of others posted immediately. If I can calm the nerves of just one person, well then I would be happy.

So to my fellow June Sleevers....... I promise to post my daily experience (God willling..... and I soooooo hope he is!) :D on this thread for the entire month of June.

In closing, I hope you will join me on this journey. Cheers to a new you!!!!!!!

I went to my first post op appointment today. I am down 16 lbs!!!!!!! :D I have been moved to a stage two diet. Basically it consists of soft foods. I was told to drink one Protein shake a day and eat three small meals with 64 oz of liquids in between. I was so excited. I went home and had 2oz of refried Beans with low fat cheddar cheese sprinkled on top. I topped it with a spoonful of fat free sour cream. While preparing I thought this looks like such a small amount. I put into a finger food sized bowl. It was DELICIOUS!!!!!! I had no trouble getting it down. And....... it filled me right up! It took me about 20 minutes to finish it. I paced myself.

For dinner, I mashed up a banana and mixed it with creamy low fat Peanut Butter. Another winner!!!!!! I was so happy with myself that I even cooked dinner and sat with my family as they ate. I wasn't hungry one single bit!

Every day just gets better and better!!! I am so glad that I decided on this revision. I went through such a hard time after my lapband slipped that I almost decided against another operation. So thankful for the support of my husband and family.

So glad you are doing well! I can't wait for next Tuesday :D

NikNak! The more I read your posts the more excited I get! Im going to apologize ahead of time because I will definitely be coming to you for advice/support. The 25th can't come soon enough!

Congrats on those 16 lbs! Your food choices sound fab! I'm 5 post op and like you had my fab egg drop soup today and was stuffed after 6 spoonfuls. I went from the band to the sleeve bc of two slips. Our stories are so similar how neat! Glad you're doing well!

I'm sleeved!! I won't sugar coat it, when I woke up I was in major pain. Gas pain mostly.

They have me on a pump an it was getting the job done. So, they have me liquid codeine. That worked miracles!

Did anyone of you get diarrhea after starting dairy products?

Yes. I had some Fro Yo that seemed like the Devil made himself. It was delish though. Lol
