I have the same problem. The protein drinks I could get down for years before, no longer stay. I think it's the whey in them. I gave up making myself sick with them. I saw my Dr. this morning for my two week checkup. He said don't worry about it. Just keep trying to get high protein foods in another way.

I'm two wks out and I use the designer protein shake. Not heavy as the pre packaged ones. I also started getting my protein from cottage cheese and today I puréed 2 oz of boiled chicken breast. Just a thought.

I go everyday and get a Gladiator from Smoothie King. They are so much better than ones made at home and have 45 grams of protein. I do them in 3 sessions. the last part i usually put in the freezer and eat right before bed like ice cream (frozen)

I used the Bariatric Fusion, chocolate mousse. It was the only one I could get to set right in my stomach that didn't make me feel sick to my stomach.

You're not trying to drink them as fast as you did preop, are you?

I was also sleeved May 20th. I've been using Body Fortress Whey protein mixed with skim milk or water. I make a shake up, and then just sip on it throughout the day. Some days I can get two shakes in and others I've only made it through one.

05/20 as well :) I use the Bariatric Advantage brand (strawberry or chocolate) I blend it with low fat milk and a banana and its very good :)

I have heard others recommend the Gladiator as well...I will have to try them...I am 4 weeks out from surgery--should there be any problem with me drinking them?

I finally found one that I can manage!! Its called elite liquid protein shots!! Its small only 2oz!! Thank goodness! I drink it really slow! It made me a little queasy and my stomach full! but I kept it down! I was so glad to finally find one I could do! I had tried at least 6 different kinds!! Its only 25 grams of protein so Im sure I need to do 2. My dr told me that protein was so important because when you are losing weight so quickly that you can lose muscle.. and your heart is a muscle, so if you lose weight fast enough and lose muscle as well as fat that you can lose some of your heart muscle!! That scared me bad so Im glad I finally found one I can drink!!! :) :) :) :)

Smoothie king is awesome. I can't drink the shakes if they have milk in them.
