Before Pics: June 2013

Recommended Posts

Hey, June 2013 sleevers! I know some of us have started the pre-op diet, I was just wondering if anyone has taken their before pics yet. Or are you waiting for the day of surgery?

I think I will take mine tonight. (whimper)

Thoughts?

I was just wondering this same thing....I'm going to re-weigh myself today (start pre-op diet today) and i think take pictures too. BUT then also take pics surgery morning, just to document everything. One never knows if they may do a photo collage later lol

I haven't taken any on purpose yet, but I got a couple of doozies recently. I had to go to an event & there was somebody taking photos. They got 2 cringe-worthy shots of me, including one from the rear....and I first saw them on Facebook!!! I was appalled at first, but then I thought what good before pix they would make. In fact, I think I'm going to take after shots from the same angle, just so I can watch my big 'ole butt get smaller. ;) I uploaded them to my profile here already, and now I need to print them out for me to see at home.

I ended up with the same kind of thing. I had been planning to do the "put on workout clothes and stand in front of a white wall" pics....but I just cant bring myself to do it. My bf took some pics of me and my son in Austin this weekend, and I think some will work for a before. None of the big ol' bum, thank the Lord! lol.

Hey fellow sleeve siblings!

Wow. Pics. I usually try to avoid them at all cost. But I think I should take a before pic just to see my progress. Also take measurements for those slow losing periods. My sister is coming to town to take me to the hospital for surgery Tues 06/04. I can have her take one on my phone. I just have to figure out how to get it off my phone to other places (here, photo for fridge, etc.) Tech savvy I am NOT!

I actually went out today and got 15+ inches cut off my hair (donated to locks of love). I feel like I lost 5 lbs. in hair alone!

Best of luck to all "Junies". June 4th is almost here! Nervous and excited!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
