15 LBS FROM GOAL/SLOWER LOSER/NEW BOOBS!

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone! Just wanted to check back in at 9 months post op to say life is FABULOUS! I had my sleeve in Aug 2012 and had a complication free experience. Aside from occasional nausea, I haven't experienced any real negative side effects. I work out 5 times a week with weights and cardio. I had a breast reduction and lift on Friday and I can't believe how amazing I feel. I started my journey at 5'6" 235 lbs. I'm now 160, with a goal weight of 145. I've attached updated pics, although they are pre breast reduction. So, now I look and feel slimmer. Anyhow, just wanted to share a positive, complication free experience. Dr. Mueller in San Diego is excellent! Good luck everyone! Oh and take your vitamins!!

What were the size of the girls before and after? I really want a reduction once I get closer to goal. Your body looks very well proportioned. Congratulations

Hi There! I was a 40 E before my sleeve, and a 36 DDD last month, before my reduction. They were also very saggy and lopsided. So, I'm guessing once swelling goes down I am a 36 C now. Dr said maybe a D until I lose my last 15 lbs but I doubt I'm a D. I'm SO thrilled!! If you go to realself.com you can see tons of people's journeys and pics.

I was going to wait too, by my Dr told me 20 lbs will hardly make a difference at all and that insurance may not cover it if I waited to lose even 5 more lbs, due to minimum tissue requirements.

You look amazing!! Great results from your hard work.

I too am 15 lbs from goal. I have a follow-up with my sleeve surgeon in 3 weeks - I will definitely ask for a recommendation to a plastic surgeon! Wouldn't hurt to go for a consult!

I'd like a TT & reduction/lift.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
