How are the march 2013 sleevers doing?

Recommended Posts

Sleeved March 6th, and i just stepped on the scale!!!!!!!!! 50lbs God willing GONE FOREVER!!!!!!! it's been a very rough 2 months for me and its still very tough with having no energy and trying to keep up with my 20 month old but the weight is falling off and I'm elated! Although I feel like my body isn't really showing it since I'm a very thick curvy woman but hey nonetheless I'm losing it.

How are all the March sleevers doing??

I was sleeved on March 7th and have lost 40 pounds so far. No one had noticed yet, or at least they hadn't said anything to me until yesterday. I decided to try on an old dress that I wore 8 years ago when I was a whole lot thinner. It fit so I wore it to church. You should have seen people's eye bug out when they saw me. Made my whole day!

I was sleeved 3/26. Down 31 lbs since surgery, which isn't quite where I'd like to be but it's definitely better than I would have done without it!

Sleeved 3/29 - 30 pounds down, 6 weeks out. SW 287. These first few weeks were rough... still having trouble judging how much to eat and overeat at times which makes me feel sick. Felt like I had more restriction in the beginning than now, but I think its just my body not providing me the clues that it will in the future.

Hi Everyone, I was sleeved 03/19 & it was the best thing I ever did for my self. Start weight was 267, now I am at 227, so thats 40 lbs so far. I feel great, I joined the walking club at my job, go to the gym on a regular, I was finally able to pull out my lawn mower & do my own grass without feeling tired, ok well a little tired. I am totally looking forward to getting to my goal weight, this has definately been a struggle but it is well worth it.

I agree, definitely a struggle...I feel tired sometimes but then I talk to myself & say, "Come on girl. You got this. Do it. Push it. You won't give up. Make it happen". Then I pray & say, "God, I need you to guide me & show me just what to do to make this happen....to get to my goal. God, please don't leave me. I can't do this without you. Thank you". So, my surg was March, 6, 2013 & I started at 303. My ticker says 257, but I did what I said I wouldn't & pulled out my scale this morn & 260! Well, I can only assume Fluid retention or muscle gain cause I lift faithfully every week. I'm encouraged, because I believe that the big "Whoosh" will come one day soon. Waiting....

Sleeved 3/4. Down 56 pounds total. I feel amazing. Still a learning curve though. Work has been hard since I don't usually get adequate time to sit and eat (if ever). I work outside in Las Vegas so Water is a must!! Most days I range from 6-10 classes, but I need to keep upping that!!

Congrats to everyone on the losses!!

I was sleeved on 3/20 and am down 40 pounds. Surgery weight was 215 and today I'm at 175. I have been having some complications for the last 3 weeks so I have to focus on the weight going down or I'd never make it through!

I was sleeved March 4th and I am down 50 pounds. I'm 6 feet tall so with my height lots of people have noticed. It's still not where I want to be but it's a start. I still continue to look in the mirror and see this really fat girl even though I've dropped 3 pants sizes. It's a mental thing that will definitely take some work but I am getting there. Congratulations to everyone with your successful loss. Keep up the great work! :)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
