From broken girl to strong woman

Let's start this conversation off by saying I used to be a model in atl, and i loved it. I had thousands of fans and to say the very least, men (and women) threw themselves at me. flattering right? let's fast forward three years...

I met my son's father. The first six months, HEAVEN. The last 6.5 years? HELL. He abused me. Physically. Sexually. and emotionally. I went from 36dd.26.44 (yes, i had a boob job. dont judge me) to 40G.39.52. I looked in the mirror, and I cried. Constantly. How could I not? I went from vixen to fat chick and I hated that chick in the mirror.

So, I did something about it. The weight wasn't coming off so I opted for surgery and boy was I nervous My son's father was extremely jealous but I wasn't doing this for him, this was for me.

I am in Atl and Dr. Macik was my surgeon. DONNA DECAILLE, RD, LD was my nutritionist. When all other nutritionist were charging me over $500, she only charged me $250. What a life saver.

I did it. I had the surgery. Week after week, the weight melted off. Did I exercise? Nope. I cheated once and got really sick. I stuck to the diet after and I felt great.

So my pre weight? a little over 250. Now, 148 AND I just had a baby. The picture in the blue bikini is me 6 months pregnant on my honeymoon :)

The jealous ex? When I left, he killed himself. That moment allowed me to finally move on and I have been doing great since. I have lost major body weight and the dead weight from people in my life who didn't deserve to be there.

I love life now and I look awesome :) This surgery saved my life.

You are AWESOME! I love your Message of triumph despite all of life's trials and tribulations. It is so true that life just SUCKS sometimes, but we have to overcome it with the right attitude and action. What a role model you are for your children, for us mothers, sleevers, and future sleevers. Thank you for sharing!

You look awesome!! Thanks for sharing your story with us, I am in Atlanta and I would love a sleeve buddy. Send me a message if you are interested, I was sleeved in October 2012 by Dr. Duncan.

Wow, you are one courageous, inspirational woman! I truly believe God allows us to go through things for a reason and how much stronger you are now. You are simply beautiful, I can only pray I'm as successful as you! Thanks for sharing your journey and God Bless!
