So... I go for my second sleep study appointment tomorrow to be fitted for cpap machine. How noisy are they? How did ur mate react to it?

UTgal I did either until i saw others post on here. I called and O I was told to bring it with me and the tech told me when to take it

It went well. I slept about 90% of my time there. I took a unisom while the tech was hooking me up.

Jus got all wired up... Lets hope im able to sleep.

The PFT went fine, the tech said that anesthesia likes to know ur lung strength and capacity. It was basically a lot of.breathing into a machine that measured everything. I did get a headache afterwards like others mentioned. The stress test was easy, rode a bike. The sleep consult went ok, i have my study in 2 weeks. I met with nut and she was awesome.

I had to complete several written psych exams and iq tests. He asked if I hears voices, or there were people out to get me..... It was a breeze

Im having my pulmonary function test and the stress test on Monday. I will follow up with how it goes. BTW...im having the sleep study consult the same day....should be fun

Its official!! Im not crazy, he cleared me psychologically.

My doc told me to write a letter with all the dates of diets I have tried with my weight loss or gain. Has anyone else had to do this? Is there anything specific that needs to be or not be included? Has anyone had tbeir insurance deny the surgery because of the letter?

My pcp started my supervised diet yesterday, and she encouraged me to see another surgeon for WLS. She had questions for me that I couldnt answer (i.e. how do u like ur surgeon?). His practice had their seminar online, so I didn't have any face to face interaction with him. My insurance covers 100%

I had my visit today and it went well, on a restricted calorie diet and I must exercise 3/4 per week for 45 minutes....my doc also encourage me to check out other surgeons

Thank you all for the information. I'm completing the 3 month progran just in case this is what the insurance wants. Their verbage is vague and doesnt specify a timeframe.

For you ladies thst have had sugery, how much weight should I lose monthly during my 3 month supervised diets? Im currently 265 (i think), and of course I'm 5.5
