November 4, 201213 yr Author Hi Georgia Girls, Thanks so much for your responses! If you haven't already, post what city/town in which you live and the date of your surgery. Mine is coming up in a few weeks... Nov. 19th and I'm venturing off to Mexico for it. Don't worry, I've researched it thoroughly. Perhaps we can all get together in a few months after we're all done with our surgeries if we live close enough to each other.

November 6, 201213 yr I think Dr. Macik is great. He has a great record and his staff are very nice. He is very careful. I like that in a surgeon. I am a self pay due to insurance exclusions. He seems comparable to others in the area.

November 6, 201213 yr I'm looking for a WLS friendly PCP if anyone recommends one! My same friend that used Dr. Macik recommeded Dr. Volcy at Kennestone Hospital. I am going to check her out since she is in the same office as my mother's PCP. I will let you know how it goes.
