I typically have Mon/Tues/Wed off, and could do anytime during the day or evening those days. If hubby wants to come with me, it would have to be any time on Monday, since he works until 8p Tues-Sat. I always work on the weekends, so Saturday is out for us. At least until I find a better job with weekends off. :biggrin1:

Hi Mommy2Brandon,

I'm not sure how this thread thing works, but, be sure Bestyjane get's your answer because I think she is the one rounding everyone up for an Humble group. Again, I really can come just about any time. Lana

Woo hoo! I must be a slow learner. I read that fantastic article Woodys had posted about how to know if you need a fill. I realized I never got off soft food after my fill. After reading about how I should be going after difficult foods now, I overcooked a chicken breast for Breakfast yeaterday, and planned to have it and raw veges. chew chew chew Well, I only got through half of the chicken breast and I was actually full. Could feel the restriction. So...I'm going to put off getting that next fill and see how it goes.

Betsyjane,

Just read your post. How do I find that Woodys post. I get my first fill day after tomorrow. It sounds very informative. Lanajane

When getting fills remember not to eat solids that day. Stay on liquids. Every doctor is different, but mine requires 3 days of liquids and 3 days of mushies after a fill. You want to ease back into solids.

For some of us fills don't kick in for 6-10 days. Keep that in mind. You should return to solids when your doc says you can. That's when you will be able to tell if you have restriction. Also, one day you can be wide open, the next tight as a drum. Its very unpredictable.

Why not arrange to meet on Monday in January at 5 at the Humble cafe? That would be a great start to our support group and the new year.

to find the Woodys article, go to Search and type in exactly these words:

How to tell when you are perfectly adjusted

My Dr. said do soft foods x1 day after a fill. I just didn't ever get off the soft foods! The article helped alot!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
