My pre op appointment was yesterday and everything went great. I still can't believe that I am going to finally be done with the port and the band. No more nights scared to eat dinner to have to stay up til 3 am waiting for my food to digest or waking up because I threw up in my sleep. Those long nights are over. So now I am preparing for my 3 day liquid diet to shrink my liver. The big day is April 30th and I have recieved nothing but support from my closest friends and family. I am just ready to live again. I want to wear a swim suit (to embarassed to wear one), go skating or wear a sexy dress with heel to dinner with my hubby. I have been living in a shell for 4 years dealing with the issues I was having with my band. Now the time has finally arrived and there is NO TURNING BACK NOW! It took me 2 years to finally decide that this was the right road for me. I was embarassed about gaining some of the weight back and for even thinking about a revision. I didn't want to hear people saying I did the the surgery once and why would I do it again. But it's not about what people will say or what they think. It's not about them. It's about ME! The new healthier me that wants to live a long healthier life and have the wedding I never got to have with the man of my dreams, my biggest supporter, my best friend...My husband.

Here's to the beginning of a new journey to the NEW ME!

Thank you so much! I really needed to see those scriptures. God is continuing to show up in my life. He is so amazing..I do have a question though..Below the scripture you have a log of your weight loss. How can I add that feature?

It's in the signature section of your profile. When you go to settings there is a signature tab and you can add it there. I type it in every week right above the add in for my tickers. I wish it would do it for me but it reminds me to figure up what I have lost each week not just in the big picture. Keeps me motivated! :)

Hey if your weights are right then your math is wrong (on your signature)! You are down 10 pounds, not just three!!

Yes he is amazing! I'm right there with you and cannot wait to get this band out of me and start my new life! My husband and I got married at the jp and would love to have a vow renewal! Hopefully I am looking pretty good for our 10 year anniversary trip to Hawaii in January and we could do it there! I'm wishing you the best of luck and congrats!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
