Hey everyone! Anyone only a few months out from sleeve and pregnant? How is it going for you? Is your doctor worried about your weight loss and nutrient intake?

Hi.. I'm 7 1/2 months post op and I am 14 weeks pregnant.. My doctor and nutritionist is fine with me being pregnant this early. They have no concern only because they have seen healthy babies benign born before with the sleeve. I was scared to tell them but when I did they were fine and told me to just keep doing what I am doing. Definitely getting all your vitamins in and eating right. Remember getting pregnant isn't an excuse to go off course ;)

BTW congrats!!

Congrats! How are you feeling? Im 9months out and 6weeks along. Feeling extremely tired. Any hints on how much protein im supposed to eat now with bubs on bored? Also what can I take to head with heartburn that safe?

That's great to hear that you and baby are safe and healthy. I definitely will continue to exercise and eat right.

I am happy to see that I'm not the only one who began pregnant too early. I'm not sure about the protein intake, I'm meeting with my ob/gyn and my nutritionist next week. I haven't experienced any heartburn so I don't know how to handle it. Congrats on your pregnancy!

Im almost jealous you have no heartburn. Was so nervous at first since having surgery, but just need to go with it. Now the excitment is building. Hope your appt go well next week.

No you can't. From what I heard tuna had a higher amount of mercury.

Re: heartburn

Try 1/8 teaspoon baking soda in a glass of Water. If you can taste it, use less. Baking soda works great for relieving heart burn/ acid reflux issues! I use the aluminum free baking soda.

If you can get your food intake along a more alkaline diet you may experience less heartburn.

Also, tuna is good in small quantities, not completely off limits.

I am 19 mos PO GS and just found out I'm pregnant this wknd! This was planned, as my surgeon suggests waiting 18 mos before trying to get pregnant.

I've been starting my day with a tonic of fresh grated (frozen) ginger steeped in 1 cup of hot water. Add in the juice of one lemon and 1-2 spoonfuls of local unfiltered honey. Started alkalizing my diet in preparation for conception. Hoping for a healthy pregnancy since I lost so much weight before hand!
