    Question for PCOS patients!

Thanks ladies! I didn't do no testing.. But let's just say I went from having one period a year to having a period every month after surgery. Then out of the blues I got pregnant. Also, during one of my ultrasounds I no longer had cyst in my ovaries too. Not saying I am completely over PCOS (which we'll never know) but I'm sure fertile now I'm 4 wks away from my due date & this pregnancy journey has been great thus far good luck to you both.

    Question for PCOS patients!

Just quit the BC and try, before going to a fertility doctor. Cause all they're going to do is tell you to try for a few more months on your own. Anyway I had PCOS and was told it would be so hard for me to have kids. Apparently not after I got the sleeved! I got pregnant 5 months post op lol. And I'm doing just fine .

26 weeks preg W twins Glucose test

Sorry to hear you had to take the glucose test. I never took the glucose test. I just got my blood drawn once a week for 4 weeks straight and I was clear of GD. Now that I am almost due I just have to get one more blood draw and I am good till baby arrives. My ob never considered glucose test because of my sleeved. Maybe your doctor isn't experience with WLS patients.
  5. Just wondering, did anyone who had the sleeve have a Glucose Test done? Or what other options did your OB give you? I am not having that Glucose Test done because of the sleeve, so instead they have me doing weekly blood draws. What's everyone's experience?

    Pregnancy Glucose Test?

Idk if I'm lucky or my OB is just more experience with WLS patients. But she knew about WLS restrictions and what not, and never mention the glucose test at all. She just told me I was not a candidate for that test. Which is awesome cause all these stories of the sugar level was scarring me. But glad you had a good jellybean test

    Pregnancy Glucose Test?

So in conclusion for my own question, I am now 28 wks pregnant and I did not have to do the test where you drink that orange drink and what not. My OB said it just wasn't safe for me cause of having WLS. So she had me do one blood draw a week for 3 week straight and my sugar level was normal. Looks like we won't be continuing to check because everything looks good
  8. Thanks love & good luck to you..
  9. I am one of those who got sleeved for pregnancy. I had PCOS and was over weight. Doctor told me I needed to lose weight to conceive but I just couldn't do it on my own. So I took this route and I don't regret it one bit. After being sleeved for a month, my period went back to normal. And I use to only get my period once or twice a year. So I was happy that it got back to normal, but it stopped in January. Turns out I was only 4-5 months post op and pregnant!! My dreams came true.. And guess what, in the end it doesn't matter if it happen to soon or what people think. Cause My husband and I are filled with joy & excitement.. Losing weight again can come after I have this beautiful baby ) good luck to you.

pregnant - 4 months post op

I'm 9 months post op and I am 4 months pregnant. I am doing just fine. We are no different from a regular pregnant women besides our stomach. If you are following your normal diet after surgery then you are fine. There isn't any need to freak out, just take all your vitamins and eat the good nutritional food. These no right or wrong time to get pregnant. It's just said to wait but no one said you had too. So relax and enjoy it

    Thinking of popping out another.

I say go for it! It's your decision and no one else's.. Everyone's body is different, your baby will be just fine. People need to relax a bit.

    Too soon to try?

It's fine. I'm 8 months post op and I am 16 wks pregnant, I'm doing just fine. Obviously people are going to say ask your doctor but truth is we all attended class before surgery and it says not to. But really, it's your decision not no one else's. so if you want to, then do it
  15. Hi.. I'm 7 1/2 months post op and I am 14 weeks pregnant.. My doctor and nutritionist is fine with me being pregnant this early. They have no concern only because they have seen healthy babies benign born before with the sleeve. I was scared to tell them but when I did they were fine and told me to just keep doing what I am doing. Definitely getting all your vitamins in and eating right. Remember getting pregnant isn't an excuse to go off course
  16. Yay!!!! First of all I would like to say, I know the medical people prefers that patients wait a certain amount till they get pregnant but truth is I just don't really care. If it can happen that's all that matters because I believed in some point in my life that I would never be able to conceive a child. But guess what I did and I am happy. It definitely was not planned but it is a amazing blessing. My husband is super excited and that's all that matter For you ladies out there who just recently got pregnant and is still in their first trimester, how is it going so far for you guys? What were your symptoms?
