Dr. Gerald Kirshenbaum - Considering Dr. Kirshenbaum

Really, you don't need to feel sorry for me. Just go away and get out of our thread and move on!! That's all! You are the one that started this! And as for other people emailing you and thinking I am horrible...since I don't talk to anyone else on this site but these ladies, who I am pretty sure did not email you, I really don't know who that would be. And I am pretty sure that I don't care!

Why would someone come into this thread when they do not like us?! There are so many other threads. This is not a place to come to for picking a fight, it is a support group. I have tried very hard not to post anything negative toward tihs person to reward her negative behavior. I will guarantee you that not a single soul from this thread has emailed her. Sweetie, it is tme for you to move on.

Hi everyone!

I am proud to say that as of Weds, the 24th I am apart of the Dr. K Bandsters!! I have had some trouble with nausea but it is slowly going away. I never thought how weird my stomach would feel. It feels like someone is strangling my tummy. LOL

Michelle,

Congratulations!! I had a little trouble with nausea as well but the Zofran worked well for me. I thought the same thing about my stomach feeling so weird and I actually asked Natalie if it would always feel that way, lol. She said no, that will go away.

Somebody told me that you all are still talking about me and I just had to see for myself! Are you freakin kidding me? That I work for Dr. Snyder?!! Wow! I really can't believe that you chicks are STILL jumping all over me about my "concerns" about Dr. K... that were written forever ago! Move on with your life! Everyone has an opinion and you know? I didn't say anything to "offend" you personally or offend Dr. K... It's wonderful that you are all doing great and that you obviously love your doc as much as I love mine... so what? Grow up girls! I wish you all the best of luck and I hope that you can put your energies into focusing on your weight loss success instead of letting me be the focus of your attention!

Sounds to me like you are the one keeping it going or you wouldn't have come back in here. If you were to read our posts I think that you will find we are ALL very focused on our weight loss and being healthy. You would also see how supportive we all are of each other. Wait, isn't that what this forum is all about?! I bet you run into conflict everywhere and never think it is you, huh?

Thanks for sharing Missy!

OMG!! I was at the mall yesterday and was starving and realized I hadn't eaten all day. I spotted a Starbucks and remembered you talking about the Vivanno. I got the chocolate banana one and it was the yummiest. 270 calories but 21 gr. of Protein and filled me up, thanks for posting about it

Adork, Next time you visit Denver, come on over! We'll sit in the hot tub and have some vino. I keep mine sparkling clean, no bacteria in here, honest. But I did listen to you veterans and did not go in. My fill is this week, so I'll ask Dr. K's permission then.

Deb, I am inspired by your progress! I can't wait to have a fill and start losing weight already. How did you do at the casino?

Munchkin, you GO GIRL! We Love ya!

Prty, you are so right - I love that cheese, and such a calorie bargain, too. I used to eat it on celery, but have been scared to try that since getting the band.

Hope everybody had a good weekend. I visited my daughter at college today. She's doing great, and always fun to spend time with her.

Glad to hear daughter is doing well.

Casino results? Not so good. Oh, well, it is always fun to get together with my folks, particularly my mom and her crazy sister!

We got back from the tree house late last night . . . dee, I didn't get your message until then.

We had a grand adventure and drove our UTF along some back roads all the way to the east rim of Zion. It was gorgeous. Also some beautiful fall foliage . . . I've posted a few pics. Couldn't help myself.

You are more than welcome to steal it and share!

Things are much better with my blood sugar. Saturday and Sunday I got all my carbs from veggies, and things looked good. My 2 hour readings were in the 120s and 130s, so MUCH better. I think I just have to come to the realization that, for now at least, I can't eat much in the way of carbs. Maybe someday I'll be able to eat a few bites of ice cream here and there or whatever, but for now it's just now worth it. Sigh.

Welcome!! I'm so excited to get mine - 37 days and counting!!!!

Hey Girlie! 37 days!!! Enjoy your last week of Last Suppers!

Hi everyone!

I am proud to say that as of Weds, the 24th I am apart of the Dr. K Bandsters!! I have had some trouble with nausea but it is slowly going away. I never thought how weird my stomach would feel. It feels like someone is strangling my tummy. LOL

:mellow::thumbup::cool2::thumbup::tt2::thumbup::thumbup:

Welcome to the Loser's Bench! Move over everyone!!! The good thing about the band is that as we lose, our butts get smaller thus making more room on the Bench to Welcome More Losers! You're a Bandito Now!

I remember having a strange feeling in my stomach, but it improves rather quickly! I noticed recently that I can cough and not feel that odd port discomfort. I don't even know I have a band -- until I eat some really dry leftover chicken!!

Good Luck sleeping -- that was my hard part after banding. I am a tummy sleeper. I slept reclined on the sofa for a week or more!

Adork, Next time you visit Denver, come on over! We'll sit in the hot tub and have some vino. I keep mine sparkling clean, no bacteria in here, honest. But I did listen to you veterans and did not go in. My fill is this week, so I'll ask Dr. K's permission then.

Hope everybody had a good weekend. I visited my daughter at college today. She's doing great, and always fun to spend time with her.

I'm addicted to Celery with the Whole Foods Natural chunky 365 Peanut Butter. It is so good! A perfect snack!

Does anyone know if Dr. K will be able to do my surgery if I have TOM? :glare:

TOM showed up yesterday, which means I'll have him in another 4 weeks as well ~ which will be two days before my surgery.:thumbup:

I hate TOM!!! BUT yes! He can do the surgery! You'll do fine! It might even happen earlier for you. Others say that weight loss and stress changes your cycle a little. I know mine has changed. Maybe you'll lose some weight with your pre-op and you'll get it earlier than expected! A girl can dream, you know!

TOM doesn't matter in surgery... I had mine too.

Also... my mom is going with Dr. K! I'm so excited, she is supposed to call Natalie today. When I checked last week, they were booking in November.

That would be great! I wish my sister would get a band. Tracy, I've seen your posts before on other forums. Nice to see you here!

WHOOHOO!!!! I lost another .5 over the weekend. I was sick and on TOM too!! This band is so freakin' awesome!!:tt2::thumbup::thumbup:

You know it Girl! The Band is a miracle! I have been struggling with my PMS -- "The PMS that never ends, it just goes on and on my friend!" --

yuck! BUT I weigh every morning and graph my weight. I noticed this morning that my weight trend is continuing in the right direction with lots of ups and downs... but trending down. The Band is doing it!

Hey Deb!!! shout out to you!!! AND Tucker! I'm glad that little guy is eating and enjoying life again! You're a good Mom!

Shelbi!!! Oh Where Oh Where is My Shelbi?

Lifesaver? Are you there? Let's plan a date for our RR group in October.

Mal! 6 days to our 5K! Brandy!! Are you ready? My daughter and I are so excited! I am walking for my Grandma and for my friend Sandra! I missed them and think of them often!!!

Woofay?? Where the heck are you, Woman!!!???

Lap, I know you're taking your time, I miss you and pray you're doing well. Love you Woman!!

Munchie, Did your check ever get there on Friday? I hope you're sleeping right now! You worked last night, didn't you?

Marcy! I'm sorry, but I must ask you this -- can you see Russia from your house? (just a question, I'm so confused!)

Bahotmamma! Have you had our - "Willie Nelson's Peach Cobbler" ice cream lately?

Bella, how's it going? You have had your band now for 71 days! AMAZING! Can you imagine how fast time flies?

Dorkable! If you do come to hang out with Denvergirl in the Hot Tub, can I join you?

NSV for me, I worked 4 in a row, Busy Busy Busy 4 - 12's and I walked out of that hospital last night feeling human! I am so blessed with this band and with a new lease on life! Guys remind me of this often! We all need to remember how blessed we are to be on this journey to good health!

I'm sorry if I forgot anyone! I'm human and I do make mistakes frequently!

Hey!!! I just realized today is my 8 Month Bandiversary!!!

A good way of being able to indulge occasionally is to be active. Ride a bike, take a walk, swim a lap -- introducing regular activity daily will help you be able to eat something yummy once in awhile.

I just checked my 2 hour pp after Breakfast - it was 91. I check mine once a day, just so that I don't miss something -- that and I am a nerdazoid!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
