IF you put a frown next to Dork, you'll have to put one next to me!!! AND then I'll cry!!!

And I'll have to put one next to me, too, and I'm already frowning about my "progress" last week. booo.

Wow, eight more days to go before being banded. Feeling nervous and excited at the same time. This site is wonderful!

Coolness! Congrats! 8 days to go!!! Wow! How's the pre-op diet going?

HI everyone, I am scheduled for surgery with Dr. K on the 24th of September. I am unbelievably excited!

Welcome Cassy! You've come to a great place for support, friendship and FUN!

 Figures it is something boring and medical. hehehe.

Did I miss this? What is the B4L???

I knew what you were thinking, you naughty girl! I actually hated typing it because I knew someone would say something!

About the B4L, I mentioned that I wanted to start it after I finished my Vegan Detox and Lifesaver said she has done it and would be more than happy to help anyone who wants to do it. So some of us are going to do it - on the 17th. Are you interested? Join us!!! We're going to do it for 12 weeks.

So a couple weeks ago I had an in home sleep study done, mostly because my DH had been bugging me to get checked out. He was worried because apparently I don't breathe too well when I sleep. So I wear this contraption all night so it can measure the levels of oxygen and my heart rate, how much I breathe etc. I figured the results would get back to my PCP and that would be the end because nothing was wrong.

But I got a call from my PCP this week informing me that I have sleep apnea related hypoxia (not getting enough oxygen when I sleep), so now they are making an appointment with a pulmonologist for me. I admit that now I am getting a little worried. Dang DH was right!! Now he is more worried than ever and is constantly waking up to check on me.

Though now this does explain why I am always feeling exhausted. Even with my usual 7-9 hours of sleep. Sometimes I even take naps. I wonder if when I get this taken care of if I will start to lose faster? Any of you ladies have this condition too?

I don't have this condition, but a friend of mine has it and she said she felt like a completely new person, once she started.

When you're typing a message, you can click on the little icon up above your message that is a paperclip. Then click "browse" in the message box that pops up and find your pic on your computer and upload it. Then you have to click upload again to get it into your message. Hope I explained that right.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
