Just got word that I GOT THE JOB!!!!! YAY!!!!

I won't be starting until probably Labor Day because the teachers still need to work out their schedules. but still!!! YAY!! I am VERY excited!!

Congrats!!! That is wonderful! :w00t:

Ok ladies I am having a BAD day. I cannot stop eating. *sigh* I think my restriction is wearing off. I had oatmeal for Breakfast along with 2 Reeses PB cups ... then like 3 hours later I had a Lean Cuisine and TWO granola bars... then a Protein Bar for dinner and 10 meatballs.

Ok typing it out it doesn't look as awful as I felt. But I feel like a pig. The oatmeal, LC, PB cups and granola bars were all in a 3 hour period, so that is where that comes from. totally felt like I was binging. Yes not binging as bad as I would have pre-band, but totally the same behavoir. Eating when I wasn't hungry.

Ugh. I just need to chill. I am still up the 6 pounds that I gained freaking overnight from what I thought was IV Fluid, but is obviously not. I think that has me kinda depressed. Plus I got a real shitty haircut last night that is bumming me out.

Ahhhh, Dorky one. It's okay. You really didn't do anything awful . . . just a slip. Pre-band . . . you have a slip and then you think "what the hell" and just keep on going. But you won't do that. You'll just get back on the band wagon (pun intended) tomorrow. No harm done. And give the 6 lb fluid thing some time. It will go away.

Okay, I hate when I get a shitty haircut. Can you go back have them fix it? Boooo for bad haircuts.

Thanks... I know you are right. Tomorrow I will be back on track. :w00t: I went to sparkpeople to figure out an approximate of my slip... and it wasn't as bad as I thought... still bad, but under 1800 calories.

I was thinking about going back to fix the haircut but am going to give it a bit more time. She cut it too short. The bangs are too short and it isn't angled like I wanted it. I haven't worked with it myself yet, still styled the way she had it, so we will see. It will grow out. Only hair!

Yep, no harm done.

I love your positive attitude. Even when you get down, you take a minute to vocalize and then you move on.

Adork,

i think we have the same hair stylist! My cut last Sat. was the style I wanted, but waaaaaay too short for my liking. The color was almost what I wanted, but 1 or 2 shades too dark.

So, I sort of think this is the hair cut I want and hair color I want in about 2 months when it gets longer and fades...LOL!

I went to a seminar last night by Dr. Tom Brown at P/SL. He is awesome, and it was very informative.

TOMORROW (finally!!!) is my consult with Dr. K - yeah!!!

LOL... good attitude. That is what my FIL told me. The difference between a bad haircut and a good hair cut is 2 weeks.

I am actually happier with mine today now that I styled it. And it is MUCH quicker to style since there is half as much. haha. :cool2:

Yeah! Let us know how it goes!!! :)

Wow - I have been on vacation for 6 days and it took me hours to catch up. Lots of great news - loss of weight, great guys, great baby pics, great bar bq.

Adork - I know I'm 3 days late starting but I want to be part of the challenge. I weighed 223 at my fill appt Tuesday. I want to lose 10 lbs and will work out 30 min/day/6 days/wk.

Mini- I missed you at Dr. K's. I got .4 cc's but didn't really think it was enough. Dr. K. said to try it overnight and call him before 8:30 am if I thought I needed more. I ate dinner and had no restriction - just like the night before my fill. I called and he met me at the office before he went to surgery at 9. I ended up getting a 1 cc fill on top of my 2.5 from my first fill. He was REALLY reluctant to give me that much but it has worked out very well. I think I will start losing weight again. I have such a long way to go that I CAN'T STOP NOW!!!

Thanks for all the postings - you are all so positive and helpful. What would I do without you?

HELLO>>> Greetings friends:

I have been hybernating since I got back from Texas. Wow. Non weight item to share...flying is much easier. I find there is less of me to move about. Still need the extender on the seat but definately staying within my own sides of the arm rests. Felt great.

No NAME SHOUT OUTS...

Congrats on the new job, that always feels awesome to achieve something you set your sites on;

thanks for keeping our data running on our challenges, I do find them beneficial,

short haircuts are only a few weeks problem, stressers come in all forms even hairy ones

food will most likely always be the first thing I will want to reach for during stress and I am mindful of that

Nag Champa incense and a candle knock out my smell factory so that the focus stays off food.< /p>

I keep my card of the ZONES to monitor when I really need a fill and when I think I need a fill. Thinking I need a fill when I really don't keeps me mindful that I still need to press myself to break old habits.

For some reason doing liquids for a few meals makes that band feel super tight. Especially in the morning.

................................................

I don't encourage anyone to take other people's medicine but in my case, my back was screaming while in Texas. It was the mattress I slept on to be sure and that I didn't recline and stretch out my back like I do at home. Daughter gave me some of her Tylenol III's with codiene and it barely knocked the edge off the pain. Red flags. So home and booked an appt. with my doctor for Monday. Will check this out.

School starts for me Monday..back to work. Hi Ho.

Daughter is coming to Florida with new baby in three weeks. I miss my boy so much.

All for now friends.

Keep it going.

Hey Sid. Sorry I missed you. I got there really early and the 1:30 person canceled so I ended up getting my fill early, then left to go find an internet connection before getting the shuttle back to the airport.

So how are you feeling with your fill? Is it helping? Do you feel too tight?

Okay, for those of you battling your hunger and waiting for your first fill . . . .hang in there!!! It is so worth it!! I am away at a conference right now and this is what I've eaten:

lunch yesterday: approx. 1/3 cup of chili, and some watermelon (watermelon goes down great and tastes soooo good)

dinner yesterday: 3 slices of grilled zuchinni, 1 slice grilled portbella mushroom, about 2 teaspoons of chocolate ice cream and a bite of a brownie. I felt like I'd eaten Thanksgiving dinner after!

Breakfast today: about 1/2 cup of yogurt with some granola sprinkled on top.

lunch today: 2 bites of chicken, one cube of tofu and some broth from tofu coconut milk Soup. And I'm STUFFED again!!!

WOOHOO!!! AMAZING!!! No idea if I'm losing any weight, but it's inevitable that it will happen. It makes me sooo happy!!!

I have always wondered what tofu tastes like. Do you eat it plain?

I can't wait until my fill. I did go all day without eating today because I was out and didn't have time to try to find something I can eat. I then overdid it when I came home and ate dinner. I had some pureed pot roast and mashed potatoes. I did not measure and I probably ate more than 2 cups total food. I didn't even feel full:confused:

Did most of you get a fill at about 4 weeks out? That is when I will get mine. Do you think it is too early?

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
