AdorKable aka LA ~ You will get back on track. You and the hubby are so cute, congrats!

ShelbiCallie ~ Yay for Onederland! Save me a spot. You are so inspirational and should be very proud of yoruself. As for healthy kid recipes, my DH has the tastes of a kid so I am always looking for this myself. I just made Mediterranean sweet potato pizza and he liked it. I will post the recipe if you are interested.

minidriver ~ My fitness age is 5 years older, my husband's is 2 years younger. And he's older than me! But he's not as overweight and has better balance, apparently. I would love to do Wii Fit challenges!

Shelbi -- Congrats on onederland...you go girl!!!! Eliches is a six flags theme park, roller coaters, Water park and lots of kids. It is a blast. Fun to do for aynone coming from out of town for the BBQ.

LA -- You are so darn cute. I love the new pics. Isn't 4 wheeling fun. We went this past weekend (that was my vacation), we had a blast. And I can tell you being lighter really makes a difference on how I ride. I was always good (Pat myself on the back), now I'm even better. I really hope you make the BBQ, maybe we could get together before hand and go shopping or something?

Dee -- I wish you were the funeral director that we dealt with when my mom passed away last summer, you are a lot nicer and understanding than they were. You would make it such an awesome experiance for the family, that is such a hard thing to go through.

:wink2:

Brandy -- Just get back on it...you can do it. I have days like that too. Yesterday I had popcorn for dinner and that was after I went to Olive Garden for lunch. I still can only eat a little bit, but not making the right food choices is really hard for me.

Mal -- I didn't find a WII fit they are all sold out, everywhere and it's making me MAD.

SHelbi -- Sending prayers and good thoughts your way. I hope all is well with ur hubby today.

Mini~Neat, your wii fitting too! I think I'll get mine this weekend if they aren't sold out...I'm in the Springs. My "stimulus" payment came today...time to stimulate! (Oh my!)

YAY! I can't wait to get my wii fit! Way to go Woofay, you are doing your part at stimulating the economy! My check is stimulating my savings account (not for long, it never stays there for long)! I just park it there for a while to make me feel good!

Mal~ I'm not a true district employee....I'm a sodex`ho employee...and the pay sucks for me too! Oh well. In fact I got my "raise" today too...and I wonder if its worth the paper work to change my pay!!!!! Since you didn't see a cancellation to get a fill, did you schedule one? How far out are the appointments these days? Think I'll get a small one. Haven't been in since January.

Congrats on the raise!$$$ every bit counts! No, I didn't make an appointment. It is soooo hard for me to take time off. I hate to make an appointment that I know I won't keep. Mary said the next appointments are June 17th~ish. That is not too bad. I reeeeeeeealy need a fill can you believe this will be my 9th)!!!

Dee~ A funeral director? Kinda opposite of what you do, however I can see how the computer would chuck it out. You're a very caring, sweet, compationate, and comforting sole. That is what people need during that time.

Here, Here!! sooooo caring, sweet, compasionate and comforting....we love you Dee!

Funeral director?...interesting! I met this girl, years ago, she was going to school to be a funeral director. she was the sweetest gal.

I just called Dr K's office hoping to get a last minute cancellation for tomorrow...no luck! I don't know how I am going to get a fill sooooon! uggggh! My 15lb challenge will be hard to make, but I will do my best!

Mal...I have an appointment today for a fill which means that I will be canceling my appt for next Friday at 11:45am. Do you want that slot?

lifesaver~I wish I could take your appointment next friday. I don't

know when I will be able to get my next fill...I work from home, I teach preschool and I feel terrible if I have to close because it puts all the families in a bind. I have a back up, but timing is EVERYTHING! I could have done it this week, but next week doesn't work for me. I wish Dr. K would do an evening appointment or a Saturday every now and then. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to take your appointment though, I really really appreciate it and I wish I could take it!

Dee~How did your fill go? Did you get a little extra for me???

Mini~How was your pre-op? Can you believe it is happening? Your day will be here before you know it! I can't believe it has been a year for me.

Adorkable~What a cute couple! Congrats on your 7 year anniversary.

Shelbie~I am sending you and your hubby positive thoughts. Hope all goes well with his stress test today.

Brandy~I am sure that your pouch is fine, we all go through that panic of stretching our pouches. There are days (many) that I wonder if my band is even there, then all the sudden RESTRICTION! then it seems to leave again. My band is soooooo finicky.

bahot~should we have a wii fit FIT, like tantrum fit?!! Maybe then someone will find one for us!!...LOL I swear those video game companies know how to make us wait...

I am gong to TRY to be a good banster tonight. We are gong to Olive Garden for dinner. Celebrating my hubby's Bday....oooohhhhh the challenges are always in my face!

Good Day my Bandito Buddies!

Hello All.

I've been a member of this site since March, and had lots of changes. From insurance, to mexico to all kinds of doctors, everything seems to change but one thing stays the same - I want this surgery!

I was just approved for a student loan for 10k and I am using it for surgery. It is so important to me to go to a good, safe surgeon. After researching and researching, I have decided I will use nearly every penny of this loan at Dr Kirshembaum, because I feel he's experienced, and the fill price is unbeatable!

Anyway, I just got off the phone with Marilyn and set a consultation for June 17th. I think this is the right choice. I'm hoping surgery will be in July. I can't wait. Just wanted to say hello.

Hey BikiniBeachy - So glad to have you in this group. It is wonderful and everyone is very supportive. Dr. K is great. Your appointment will be in the office in Aurora.

I was just banded on May 14 and so far things are going well. I have been back to work since the 19th part time and full time since the 27th and it has been fine. (I am a college teacher so I don't have a lot of strenuous activity but I do walk a lot.) The timing of your surgery depends on available days and your schedule. I had to wait about 9 weeks from my contact with the office until my surgery but it varies I'm sure.

As Dee would say "we're saving a place on the Loser Bench for you and there's always room."

YAY Bikini!!!

Dr. K's main office is in Aurora. He preforms the surgery at either Aurora or Parker, depending on where you would like to go.

I had mine in December in the Aurora office and thought that it was a great facility and wonderful care.

WELCOME!!! YOU HAVE FOUND THE BEST LINK!!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
