Dr. Gerald Kirshenbaum - Considering Dr. Kirshenbaum

YAYYYYY Shelbie! WTG:thumbup::lol::thumbup:

Wii fit: Set mine up today, calculated my BMI (no surprise). Then it calculated my fitness age - 10 full years OLDER THAN MY ACTUAL AGE!!! Well, that kind of sucked. Then my husband hopped on, and his fitness age is 15 years YOUNGER than his real age. Well, that means that I'm 25 years older than he is with regard to fitness levels. AARRGGHH!

Then I had to go get my driver's license renewed. My pic looks like some eyeballs, some hair, and several chins. YIKES.

I just keep telling myself that, a year from now, things will look lots different. Anyway, the Wii looks like tons of fun and a good choice for those of us who would rather DIE than work out in public.

Yay, Shelbie! I remember that day! I think the only day better will be when you see your goal on there! I can't wait for that! CONGRATS!!!!!

Mini~Neat, your wii fitting too! I think I'll get mine this weekend if they aren't sold out...I'm in the Springs. My "stimulus" payment came today...time to stimulate! (Oh my!)

Mal~ I'm not a true district employee....I'm a sodex`ho employee...and the pay sucks for me too! Oh well. In fact I got my "raise" today too...and I wonder if its worth the paper work to change my pay!!!!! Since you didn't see a cancellation to get a fill, did you schedule one? How far out are the appointments these days? Think I'll get a small one. Haven't been in since January.

Dee~ A funeral director? Kinda opposite of what you do, however I can see how the computer would chuck it out. You're a very caring, sweet, compationate, and comforting sole. That is what people need during that time. :scared2:

Have a great nite!

Mini!

You're so funny!

Eyeballs, Hair and Chins!

I have a friend who posted her MVD picture as her before and after!

When I got my license after moving here to Colorado, I was sick!

It is so ugly! I can't wait to change it!

Yup, a funeral director AND a minister!

Funny huh?

ACC has one of the few Funeral Director programs in the United States. I might look into it!

Would you still be my friend if I was a Funeral Director?

Funeral director?...interesting! I met this girl, years ago, she was going to school to be a funeral director. she was the sweetest gal.

I just called Dr K's office hoping to get a last minute cancellation for tomorrow...no luck! I don't know how I am going to get a fill sooooon! uggggh! My 15lb challenge will be hard to make, but I will do my best!

Mal, My Dear!

IF I could I would give you mine tomorrow!

Because I'm so scared! I do not know why, but I am!

It's not like it's my first, but I am pretty nervous!

So I could just pretend I don't need one and give it to you!

I wish...

BUT I've got to stop this Plateau Buster's Diet. Today, I went to Whole Foods and had to sample my favorite Tortilla chips and Ginger Snaps!

Bad girl, am I!

Dee, I think the world needs some cool funeral directors! You could inject a dose of (tasteful) humor into the proceedings and make it all a bit more palatable.

Anita, we have Sodexho at my school as well. I've never seen it the employees referred to as Sodex 'hos. That cracked me up. I may have to introduce that at my institution :scared2:

When everyone gets their Wii Fits we can have Wii challenges! Of course, since my fitness age is oooooolllllddddd, I'll probably lose them all, but it would be fun!

Lap~ Cute toes, and great pics! You look amazing missy! Keep up the great work!!

Denise~ How was your vacation?? Hope it was a blast!

Shelbie~ WTG on ONDERLAND!!! Woot Woot!!! AWESOME GIRLY!!! =)

Well ladies I have really kicked things up a notch for this 10 week challenge. I have been running everyother day for about 30 minutes (all I can do right now) and I even took a 5 mile walk on Sunday. I also have been swimming pretty much every day. Laps for about about 30-45 minutes a day.

I also realized today I need to fix up my eating a little bit. I have been eating too much Pasta again. I found these awesome seafood stuffed raviolis that I have been having for lunch. They have a lot of Protein but the carbs are probably just too much. So I am cutting them out for now.

I tried to schedule a fill with Dr. Berger and he can't get me in until mid July!! Grrr. So I am thinking instead of spending $200 for a fill with him in July, I will buy a plane ticket and come to the BBQ and get filled by Dr K and meet all you fabulous ladies! Anyone up for an overnight guest? lol

Hubby and I just celbrated our 7th anniversary last night and had the most FANTASTIC night. Best one ever. Thought I would share a picture. =)

Mini,

I have no idea why I'm nervous. Things went very well last time. I'm just anxious! I need to stop thinking about it.

My ankles are still so swollen from working and I had gained 6 lbs from the extra Water weight. Maybe I'm nervous that my weight will go up since I was there last!

LA aka Adorkable,

I love your new name! And you and your hubby are adorable! NOT adorkable! You always looks so pretty!

I'd love for you to stay with me, but I'm not sure if I'll be in the middle of moving to a new place. I'm looking at homes tomorrow and if I find one, I'll give my 60 day notice on the 31st.

I hope you get to come! I'd love to meet you!

Ugghh . . . I HATE swollen ankles. I don't know how nurses can be on their feet for so many hours at a time. My daughter works at a pediatric hospital here in Salt Lake and works 3-4 twelves a week. It just amazes me.

Dee~ You are so sweet! I was only kidding about having a place to stay. =) My husbands Aunt and Uncle live in Aurora. She just recently had half her lung removed due to cancer... so I may just do the hotel thing so I don't impose.

I also had to add.... I went out with my family to ride Quads the other day. It was a BLAST. I think 60 pounds ago it would sucked. I was all over zooming and zooming! Even rode double with the hubby which would have never happened before.

Oh... and another NSV... I bought a size 24 bathing suit that I was hoping I could wear by the end of summer. Well it FITS! Granted a scootch too tight, but I can wear it and I do! lol. From a tight 32 to a 26... tight 24. This rocks!

Thank you all for your very kind words! They mean so much to me. Smooches all around.:wink2:

Sewpfun2 -- Welcome!

Michelle, Ami, Taynuh -- How are you??

Clucky -- Dr. K is your best bet. I shopped around and I have no regrets!

Mini -- 7/2 will be here before you know it! I can't wait to hear about your consult tomorrow!

Dee -- I would love to be built like this banana  but the girls just won't cooperate! BTW -- I think you'd make a most excellent Grief Counselor, so I can see why you'd score high on the Funeral Director scale!

LA -- WTG on getting back to running! You and hubby are darlin' together. LOVE his shirt! And congrats on the new bathing suit size -- you are rockin' that band of yours!

Bookholder -- Congrats on joining the gym! I noticed on your ticker that you're already half way to goal -- AMAZING!!!

Lap -- So glad mommy and baby Clara Jean are ok!! Let me say again how fab you look in your new pictures!

Mal -- I'm so psyched that we're all going to make our challenge goals! My boys have the DDR for either the Xbox or Play Station, can't remember which -- I need to dig that out again and see if I can do it without sustaining a major injury. Can't afford a Wii right now, but you guys sure are making me want one!

Woofay -- I'm so glad that summer's here and your schedule's letting you post more often. It's not the same around here without you. Can't wait to hear how you like the Wii Fit!

Bahot -- Congrats to Rachael on being Huskie of the year! BTW, you are doing great and will be rockin' those Daisy Dukes in no time!! What's Eliches?

John -- How are you and how 'bout posting more often? We can use a little more testosterone around here!

Marcy -- How are you and how are the chicks???

Green -- I know the phrase "Let's get fast food" all too well -- from my kids! Let's just say I have a history of being rushed/tired and have not set the best example of nutritious eating for them -- just one more thing I'm working on forgiving myself for. Anyway, I told my boys tonight that one of our summer goals is to have them plan/cook dinner once a week -- hopefully to start some better habits. Healthy kid recipe suggestions, anyone?

Brandy -- I know the kids are keeping you hopping, but keep on posting -- you keep me motivated!

I've tried to read all the posts:eek: and get caught up -- this is a busy group, no doubt!

I've got a 12 hour shift ahead of me tomorrow and I'm falling asleep now! I SO want to get my walk in before work so I better close for the night.

Oh yeah -- Hubby has a cardiac stress test tomorrow, so please send any prayers or positive thoughts however you are so inclined. Thanks and good night, banditos!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
