Today is the day that I start up on Purees!

Taking is sloooow' date=' with 2 very soft scrambled eggs for mini-meal 1 (chewed it a lot too). They went down slow and smooth, but I finished them all. I'm still trying to get an understanding of what "full" or "satisfied" feels like.

What are the other March 20th-ers doing for pured food and mini-meals?[/quote']

Sleeved March 22nd. I too am having trouble determining if i am full or am having hunger pains still, or if its just gas! I have never really paid attention to all that in the past...i just ate till the good was gone. Please tell me how you do. Hope i gain a better understanding soon.

I can start on pureed next week. I hope that happens for me. I'm 9 days out, still on liquids and today I am starving. I feel like I could eat anything although I won't for fear of blowing out my sleeve at this point.

Have u tried a creamy Soup

Hi Nicole, yes I had some cream of chicken soup. I really didn't like so I only had a few ounces. I know this is head hunger and I'm missing eating. Between my pre-op diet and post op stages I've been on a liquid diet for almost a month. Today at work they brought in pizza for everyone. I went for a walk hoping I could avoid being around it. But, it was all still there when I got back. I think that's when it started.

I'm feeling better now and appreciate that in just over 3 1/2 weeks over lost over 30 lbs. I'm just whining. How you doin?

Hi, I was sleeved March 22nd. I am feeling pretty good. Seems like each morning i truly feel stronger and can tolerate everything i eat or drink better. One thing i am having a very hard time with is the chewable vitamins. They are so sickening sweet that it makes me almost gag. Never thought i would say something was too sweet, but i can see how my taste buds have changed. Still having a hard time getting in all the Water. Seems to want to get a bit stuck going down. Looking forward to the scale for the first time. I have started walking. Thank you Spring! This week i will be going to the gym at the medical center to see what i can begin doing. For me, adding daily exercize really made weight loss successful. Watching my family enjoy regular food right now is also hard for me. Love hearing everyone's stories!

Those bullet Proteins are the wrong type of Protein for us. Read the list of ingredients and you will see. I think they say whey on the label but the list of ingredients it's not the main source. I have been reading threads about such.

These were recommended by my NUT to me but we all know they all say something different at each WL center.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
