Dr Marymore Barix of Langhorne PA

Hello all HELP!!!!! I am pre op papers submitted to insurance BCBS of New Jersey yesterday. I selected Dr Marymore of Barix but wondered if anyone used him or the Barix facility and what you thought. I think I'm getting nervous and just want to make sure I have a great surgeon.

Hi Roserie!!!!! I actually live in Philly but my job is in Trenton so it's easier for me to get to Barix for pre and post op appointments. Do you have a date yet?

No date yet. My surgeon requires a 3mth program before they will allow you to go through with surgery (even though my insurance doesn't require a program). My insurance requires the normal testing and that the facility is a center of excellence. Next week I have my 2nd group appointment, my mandatory support group and my individual dietitian/psych visits. After I do those I have to setup an appointment with the surgeon and then I should have one more visit before I submit to insurance. I'm ready to get on with it though. My SO and I want another baby and the surgery pushes us being able to try at least a yr out so I'm really hoping we don't hit any bumps along the way.

When is your date?

I work in Trenton as well, live in Langhorne.

Jacqueline thanks!!!! I'm feeling better about it now. I was getting concerned because I saw that Abington ad Eistein were "Bariatric Centers of Excellence" and wonder why Barix is not considering they are solely a Bariatric Center. I also noticed the procedure costs more at hospital based facilities...it's covered dr me so cost is not a concern but its about a 5-7 thousand dollar difference. Has me thinking???

I have been nervous so much, but when I walked in there and had my first appointment I felt like they already knew me. I was going to have the female surgeon originally. But my daughters gmom had the bypass there... EXCELLENT!! No worries at all. I just wish I could of had my surgery there.

My SO's parents live in Langhorne near Playwicki park.

Omg! Glad you are happy with it. I was at the support group last night. I took a tour of the recovery room and saw a woman walking for the first time after surgery. She looked good. She said she was tired but felt good. I'm so excited. Have you purchased any protein shakes. I got a sample of some powders from injury going to try them this weekend. When is your surgery the 29th?

I got the vanilla bean shake and the iron chewables. I start liquids tomorrow. I wish I lived closer so I good go to the support group

I can't wait for my testing next week. I didn't know they had chewable. The support group is nice because I was able to ask questions but most of them are bypass patients and you can get all the info you need on here. It is nice to have someone face to face that I can talk to. How far away are you. There is one on first Saturday of the month maybe try that one.

I'm in maryland so it's about two and a half hours

Wow! Clearly I wasn't expecting that. Are you going to stay up here a few days after surgery? What part of Maryland I lived in Columbia, md for a while

This pre op diet is rough. I have lost some weight. For the first time ever I am seeing it my clothes. But I cheated twice. One time i had spinach and yesterday the whole company had coldstone. It's killing me.
