  1. Emeraldrose, I went through the same exact thing with hunger pains! I thought something was wrong with me! It took a couple of weeks to pass... I was on an acid reducer also.... It will go away! Good luck!
  2. Jojo, how did the pre op meeting go??
  3. I am 6 weeks out, and trying to stay low carb... How many grams should I be aiming for? I still want to get my "healthy" carbs in my diet.... On MFP, for an 800 calorie diet, it is programmed at 70gr.... Thx!
  4. I'm only 6 weeks out. I do not get the hunger as often as I did before....I do eat every 2-3 hrs...
  5. My son has Strep throat now... Same symptoms. Feel better!
  6. I mix my chocolate Premiere shake in a blender with a few pieces of ice.... Love it!
  7. GREAT job! You look wonderful!!
  8. I had this, too. Bending, sneezing or coughing was a death sentence! The only thing that helped w/the pain & burning was REST.... Take your walks, but no housework.... It got better 3-4 wks after surgery..... Hang in there!
  9. I heard about Questbars from someone... I purchased the chocolate chip cookie dough one from GNC today. It is the PERFECT snack! It does not taste like a protein bar! The whole bar has 21g protein, 17g fiber, and 1g sugar....chunks of chocolate...Yummy!
  10. Walk, walk, walk! It helps pass the gas. I also think it helped me feel better faster! good luck!
  11. That was the most painful part of my surgery.... I couldn't bend or sneeze! I finally started feeling better w/the pain @ 3 weeks. Feel better & REST!
  12. I felt the same way... I would eat until I was satisfied, but not full. The other night I ate too much & too fast.... So nauseous! It was not good. I will never do that again! Now I know my sleeve is working;)

I need to make a lot of meatballs at the end of the month... Can you give me your recipe for the garlicky meatballs? Thx!
  15. I just started using MFP.... Please feel free to add me. Username is klavish. I will add all of you if you don't mind!
  16. You have to stay at Barix two nights... They are very thorough. I was a huge carb/sugar/soda person.... I kicked all the bad habits before my pre-op diet (never ever thought I could). You get used to the pre-op diet....I'm finally switching to puréed diet tomorrow! I lost 13lbs pre-op & 15lbs post op;)
  17. Pre-op testing involved EKG, blood work, Ultrasound of gall bladder, chest X-ray, meet w/Dr Koganski or Dr Proudan (medical docs), meet w/respiratory to go over your incentive spirometer, & meet w/NUT. I think it took about 2.5 hrs.... I went back to work one week later. I had to because I actually found a nursing position the day before my surgery & needed to give my employer my resignation.... If you can take off longer, do it!!!!!!
  18. I was sleeved by Dr Marymor on 3/6! I loved him and his whole staff... Very thorough and professional. After surgery, those nurses will get you up and walking right away! I'm so happy I went to him! Let me know if you have any questions!
