PEOPLE WHO ONLY DID 3 day liquid pre op diet

Recommended Posts

I am not "resentful" that a relatively thin woman is getting VSG surgery. I am sad for her because she has gone to DRASTIC lengths to stay thin/get thinner. She hasn't a frickin clue what she's in for. I also wouldn't even buy a drink in Mexico let alone have someone cut me open and remove part of my body there for a measly 5700. You'd have to be flippin nuts to do that' date=' BUT that's just me, I know a lot of people here have had VSG in Mexico and been happy and successful as a result. However, I can remember my first few days after VSG and it was not the most comfortable. Could you frickin imagine taking a plane flight ACROSS THE DAMN GLOBE after having VSG???? Seriously post op'ers, think about that for a second. Also kiss your favorite junk foods goodbye. That ain't gonna happen anymore. A soda? Forget it. Oh, your mates want to go out and have a drink to Celebrate something? Nope, NO alcohol if you want to continue losing or want to maintain that goal weight. I'd also be damned if I was going to do this surgery because some ****** bag on a plane or wherever made a comment about my weight. And this one: "I'm sick of people making comments and children laughing at me when I come out in my bathing suit to watch them in the pool." Man oh man, you seriously need some therapy because you have some serious paranoia and self esteem issues as well.[/quote']

A huge percentage of people have gone to Mexico for this surgery and said they received better care then they have in the states. I don't really drink alcohol. And no I'm not doing it because of a few comments. I'm sick of repeating myself for my reasons. It's ok if we dont agree - we obviously aren't going to see each others views

I still eat my fav junk foods in moderation - almost everyday. I work out more if I treat myself. I also drink alcohol most weekends now im 5 months out. I am.always within 800-1000 cals a day. This is ok with my surgeon and NUT. I have not stalled once and I'm almost at goal. I was determined to treat it as a lifestyle change not another diet where i deprive myself. I carry weight well and already I am getting comments like "your getting too skinny now" etc which are super annoying.

Hey that's not fair! Two different contexts! I totally didn't call you a b*tch then. And I said B now because I'm tired of sensoring my spelling.

Trust me. If I called you the b word back then, I'd totally admit it.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
