Fill doctors in UT?

Recommended Posts

Hi All!

I live in Sandy and will be having surgery in Mexico in January. I was wondering if any of you have a local doctor who will do fills that you trust? My biggest concern with the surgery right now is aftercare and I'd really appreciate any insight you can share!

Lori

Try reaching out to Dr. Alldredge or Dr. Hansen at South Valley Surgical. They are right by Alta View Hospital on 1300 East. I don't know what their policy is on fills for patients from Mexico, but it's worth a phone call. Their phone # is (801) 571-9511 and their website is www.svsurgical.com.

Dr. Alldredge performed my surgery on 10/23, and everyone there is so great! Many of the nurses and the social worker there have had the surgery so they understand what the patients are going through.

Best of luck!

The only doctors in Utah that will do fills for Mexico patients are Dr. Green in Payson and a new doctor in Salt Lake that works for FillCentersUSA.

Hi again Lori! :) I know that Dr. Hansen and Dr. Alldredge will not do fills for Mexico patients. There is a Fillcenters USA (866-345-5872) that is opening soon or might be open now and I've also heard that Dr. McKeen in Orem will do fills as well.

Hi! Just wanted to let you know my experience with fill doctors here in Utah...I had my band on 3/3/10 in Tijuana, Mexico by Dr. Kuri and it was the best experience ever. I called Surgical Weight Loss Center in Salt Lake and they are happy to do my fills. They charge $100 for new patient and then $75 for a fill. Now if you go back within two weeks, there is no charge and so if it takes a couple weeks to get your fill correct, there is no charge. After the first few times I did get a bill in the mail charging me and I freaked out but I called them and told them I was self pay and they took care of the error. I have been very happy with all of their help. When I went I just took the info that my surgeon gave me and I have not had any problems. Hope this helps...oh, their phone # is 801-746-2885

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
