You may want to throw in a bit of Preparation H to the mix, too! :(

No joke! I'll start my Miralax today. I wasn't sure what a normal duration was for when you are on liquids only.

I am one month out. I take a sugar free chewable Fiber tablet every night and I am quite regular. But at first, it was liquid stool followed by Constipation. I hate being fixated on my bodily functions so thank goodness for fiber tablets. I pretend it is a Vitamin.< /p>

SarSar, how much Protein are you consuming each day? As I recently posted on another thread, the purpose for me getting sleeved was so I didn't HAVE to be on any specialized diets anymore. Throughout the day I ensure I get a balance of nutrients and liquids. Well balanced meals are our goal ... not another diet ...

Right?

Totally agree! I don't feel like I'm on a diet at all and I took the same approach you did, still do.I don't limit carbs or count calories. I eat protein first and the problem I have is that after I eat protein I don't have much room for anything else.I try to get in some veggies and fruit after my protein and I eat them for Snacks also. I get about 100 g protein a day. I also work out 5-6 times a week, this includes weight lifting 2 or 3 times a week. I have found that if I eat less protein I am hungry more often so this seems to be where I am happy.

I drink a smoothie daily which has a couple cups of spinach along with 2 servings or so of whatever kind of fruit I want. The smoothies go down easy and I can get a few servings of fruits and veggies easier this way than eating them whole and I love how they taste!

Also, I drink 128 ounces of Water a day. This I do keep track of, my water bottle is 32 ounces and I drink 4 of them a day. I also drink tea in the mornings and have milk and water in my Protein Drink that I have for Breakfast.< /p>

Any suggestions on what I can do with my daily diet to make myself more regular is greatly appreciated!

Sarah

It sounds like you are doing everything right, for sure. Your body may need some more liquids, though, if you are working out hard, expending liquids, yet are consistently having Constipation issues.

Perhaps add some chia seeds to the diet? I have heard wonderful things from folks who use them about keeping them regular.

Miralax and Colace work wonders. :)

How much colace do you recommend? I am doing the Miralax already and it isn't quite doing the job by itself.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
