Yes I did and I didn't go alone I took a friend with me and we both seen it. Scared too was the word for it didnt won't to say anything because u never know what that man Lalo was putting in between his fingers the needles are rather big and it even left the blood on his hand bt it didn't seem to bother him at all. Bt I didn't won't to say anything there the meds are very easy to get especially when the nurses let them back where the meds are and they aren't locked up

I felt perfectly fine to go shopping! I didnt go in Mexico because I wanted some quiet time alone at the hotel while everyone else went. My sister went though! She had a blast! But after we left Mexico I spent an extra 6 days in southern California visiting people I knew, site seeing, and shopping!

I felt great to do some light shopping and I was only 3 days post-op. It was actually good to go and be able to walk around a bit.

That would have freaked me out too. I'm glad everything else went well.

Absolutely! I was bored my first day in hospital and by that evening I was fit to be tied! My Cordinator made sure my leak test was the following morning so I could get going. Trish is the best and even loves shopping and historical sightseeing! Very knowledgeable. Went to hotel and spent the next days running around and then a full day in San Diego non stop. Old town San Diego is a lot of fun and very interesting

I had surgery on monday. I'm in Mexicali with Dr Aceves and I have not had any of those issues. The doctor and staff are on top of things. I feel ya on the blue pee. I'm still peeing blue, but that is expected. I am sorry to hear about your experience. Thanks for sharing your story.

I had my surgery in the US at a teaching university med center. I'm sure there were a ton of pimple faced students there in front of all my naked glory! I had a surgical nurse come up to me while I was being prepared, and tell me she would make sure there were not any sales reps present! I was being used to teach robotic procedures... so naked, strapped to a vertical board, and being operated on by a robot! Now I would have liked to see that myself! I tried to get a CD of the procedure, but they wouldn't give me one....I had next to no problems, and it was a great staff.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
