I just told my husband about it.. He laughed and said get back to the couch 0_o

Aww, I have faith in you Lars, even if it is from the other side of the planet.

Take the first step! DO IT DO IT!! :P

Hehehe!! ;)

Imma going to try! My husband is REALLY athletic (mountain bike, rock climbing etc)

So he's usually really encouraging, but I have pins in my hip and get hip pain so he's like "that's to stressful on your hip"

Ahhh, the truth comes out - not only supportive but watching out for you!

*cough* man basher *cough*

Im repeating week 4....and I finally feel completely competent to move on to week 5. Never in a million years could I have imagined running..,under any circumstances(unless I was being chased at gunpoint lol) but I am so proud of myself for challenging myself to do this!

You are an inspiration to those of us just starting out. Keep up the great work!

No' date=' he just likes the cushion :P[/quote']

Hey laura- when are you going to start the c25k instead of laying on the beach. :) All in fun since you said you would rather do a 5 k next the pool instead of on a treadmill in an older thread.

I don't know if I can run.. but want to try, maybe just a little bit at a time! I did download the app and will bring it to the gym when no ones there!!

Cool. That is how we all started : a little at a time. In fact the c25k program is designed to be progressive and you start out with a little until you are comfortable with advancing to the next step.

Well now, that changes the story...pins in your hip, might not be the best thing to go pounding the pavement. Just go slow. The first week is more walking that running. Do what you can, if it hurts stop. Use a safeword or something....

Lol "safe word" whatda you have in mind??

I was only going try running a bit!

It's funny my hip started hurting bad after I started losing the weight. It hadn't bothered me in years 0_o

But it's starting to feel a little better now..:)

I have three good sized titanium screws in my right hip and uncorrected displaysia in the left, so I know about hip pain... No fun at all and the clicking in my left hip is like nails on a chalkboard! Come on Laura...if my old booty can do it, you can!

Those sneaky devils... I just did week 5 night 2. I hopped on the treadmill expecting it to be the same as day 1, I didn't even look. I started to run and got a good rhythm going and focused on the music. I looked down expecting to see less than 2 minutes remaining and the clock read just under 5 minutes! WTH? I ran for 8 minutes before a walk break. So in case you're wondering, week 5 isn't the same every night like the earlier weeks are!

But, I did it!
