Really weird ???? But you get to eat? That's great!

I am not sure if I can eat. Everyone who has cared for me has a different idea. Things will be delayed longer because I am transitioning care. My nut can't see me until she has medical proof that I am safe to eat. So some how she will need to get documentation that my leak is healed. I called to get this process started.

Wow Sannah, I feel so bad that everything has to be such a long drawn out process!

It will just be so nice when you can do some things normal again!

I SO agree. It's going to be unbelievable to do some normal things again!! Kind of feels like I don't know what normal is anymore. I can't wait to eat food again. Also to learn what I like and enjoy to eat!!!

I guess if you look at the bright side, which you kind of have to after all the bad that has happened.

You will know better than some how to appreciate the little things in life.

Whether it be a meal or going for walk with your husband and daughter.

It's nice to be able to not take those things for granted.

Sometimes really bad experiences open our eyes to just how good our life's are.

Don't you think?

Sannah,

Where are you in Oregon? I am on the south coast.

I am so sorry to read all that you're going through. I hope you're on the road to recovery so you can start putting all of this behind you, and play with your baby girl. I will say prayers for you!

So it's raining great news in my world!!

I did have and still have a tough time with my heart. But the cardiologist had so much good news!

Then today I was able to talk with the surgeon who did my stents, my new doctor and that agree that I can now have PURÉED FOODS!! This is a big deal!!! :) I am so happy!!!

I bought some squash to try tonight!!

I can't believe that is happening!! It feels so amazing!!

I am going weekly to massage and acupuncture!! I started this today. Man it feels good!!! We are working on some points to help with how cold I feel!! The lady I see her hubby had the by pass and complications. So strange... So she gets what I am going through!!

I hope that some kind of greatness has influenced your day too!!! If it has I would love to hear about it!! :)

**HAPPY DANCE**

Best,

Sannah

Oh Sannah that is wonderful news!!!!!

I'm a so happy for you!!!!!

I'm doing the happy dance with you!

I might even keep it going for about 30 minutes and consider it my cardio for the day :P

Try not to worry if you can only do a few tiny bites at first. I was in awe at how little I could get in... Just plan to spend some time getting that yummy nutrition in your body!!

Woohoo!!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
