I'm having my sleeve the 18th and I'm starving' date=' I drank a dietcoke today. I had give them up last week, I was drinking 6 to 8 a day. So we have to drink clear Protein the first 2 weeks? I was going to have broths and Jello. Is the Unjury good? You can drink it warm? Do you flavor it? And with what? I'm going to bring a binder with me to hospital I hear they really help. On my preop I can have 2 Protein Drinks an 2 sugar free jello or Popsicles. It kinda sucks that they don't have many who knows how to stick that tube down your throat without damaging you. Hope u are doing well at this time

I just tried the unjury chicken Soup flavor today and it was disgusting. Don't waste your money. I got that as a sample from my pre-op class. It made my stomach feel really nauseous too.

The Best whey Protein

I came across this at my local Healthfood store. I actually like it alot! No after taste!! I've tried so many that I hated, Unjury, EAS, Akins etc. to name a few. This is called Jay Robb Whey protein. I've had the vanilla, strawberry & Pina Colada. It has 110 calories, 25 Protein grams and 1 carb. I just wanted to share this for anyone who was having trouble finding a tolerable Protein Shake.< /p>

Thanks for the recommendation. I too have tried so many protein powders including the ones mentioned above. I love the Bariessentials Vanilla sold by my Dr. and love it but it is $90 for 35 servings. Will definitely give this a try and save about .70 a serving. I know me if I cant stomach the flavor I just won't stick to it. So it is worth a little extra money.

Here's my solution....Isolate unflavored, Better Than Bullion...heat the broth and add powder. Let sit for about 10 mins for flavors to meld...reheat if necessary

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
