January sleevers are youd ready?

I spent a few hours at the stores getting gasx chewable vitamins broth whey protein powder and jello. I have been on a liquid diet since monday and full liquids since saturday. I am doing well, I thought I would starve to death but i havent the oral fixation is the hardest to fight. I can cook for my family but in my head im thinking i need a taste. I find putting jello down my throat curbs this. I already have my meal in mind for when i am off liquids...steak and goat cheese with veggies low carb amd delicious :). How are u all doing?

Thank you for this encouragement. I can sure use some. I am almost 3 weeks post op. Im having a really hard time today. I want food. Still on liquids though. Go to dr on tues and might get to start on cottege cheese and greek yogurt. Hopefully that will be better. Please tell me this gets easier.

Yes! It gets easier!! Go slow on solid foods! I wanted to have soft mushy foods SO bad that the day the dr. said I could I went to lunch with my husband ordered a scrambled egg. Ate two bits and proceeded to throw it up because my stomach wasn't ready to handle it that quickly.

Start with one small soft food at a time. Something easy like regular yogurt. Then go to cottage cheese, etc... It got better for me about 6 weeks to where I felt normal and back to myself. Take lots of naps and rest when you can!

10 more days for me.

I am scheduled for the 29th. I fly to San Diego on the 28th. I am getting it down at the OCC in MX. I am both nervous and excited. Since I have a lower BMI, I am only required to do Clear Liquids just 2 days prior, but I am doing a liquid diet this week to kind of get mentally ready for the next phase of my life.

I'm scheduled there tomorrow. What's your starting weight? I was told that I have a low BMI but had to do the two week diet which I totally failed at. I'm on clear liquids now but the weight isn't coming off. I'm worried that they won't do the surgery.

My weight is 192, with a BMI of 32. They told me that I didn't have to lose weight. I am going to do the Protein shake diet this week. Started today. Well, I just had some Soup too. I will do the clear liquids next weekend. I am not looking forward to that.

Good luck, please post your thoughts and experience.

I'm 210 right now same weight I was when I scheduled. I'm on the clear liquids today.

Im hungry today, and sad debating if this is for me, maybe im just stress right now because my family is eating and I am on liquids

You can do this. Go check out all of the success stories on here. It is just kind of scary right now as well you are having major surgery and taking on a new lifestyle.

Oh, check this thread out. So many people who like us with low BMIs are voicing no regrets.

I'm surprisingly calm. I'm on my way to the hospital right now to get the surgery done. =) I bet that when I actually get there ill start panicking with nerves though haha.
