Id hit up an urgent care. Could be a sign of upper gi bleeding. Is there a horrible smell to go with it?

No smell :/

Go or call someone now atleast an advice nurse.. do it..........

Did you take any Pepto-Bismol or a larger than usual quantity of iron?

Pepto will do that.

bismouth turns stool black. if it is not smelly, or turns the water dark red, there isn't anything I am aware of, but I am NOT a doctor.

everything i consume is dark i have trouble with water- not to mention the multivitamin with iron. - i spoke to a nurse friend Who happens to be a nurse where I had my surgery She also works with my surgeon time to time. She told me she didn't think it was serious and sine i am seeing Him tomorrow try not to panic

Am calmer and heard from the Doc office- discussed symptoms- no apparent emergency but will keep my f/u with his as scheduled tomorrow . Thanks everyone !

I had the same issues post-op, my Dr. indicated it was caused by leftover blood or drainage from the surgery. Mine lasted for at least 2 months but now I'm back to normal.

Glad I found this post cause I'm havin the same thing. Only difference is I love Pepto and I take it whenever my stomach is upset. So big relief for me but I'll quit taking it for a while and see if that makes a difference because last week my stool was normal then the change to dark worried me.
