Is it ok to take Ambien a week after surgery?

This may be a silly question, but I haven't taken anything other than what my doctor and nutritionist have prescribed me. However, I am getting NO sleep at night. Is Ambien safe? If not, is Tylenol PM ok?

I take Ambien and everything is fine. I make sure to take it 10-15 minutes before bed. If you're still unsure, call and ask your dr. Get some sleep. Good luck!

Call your doctor or PA. I was given the okay to take ambien in hospital recovery.
