I started having sharp nagging back pain Monday.. Right in the middle of my back right where my rib cage stops.. I was 3 weeks post op Tuesday..I'm not nauseous, or throwing up, no fever, and have no trouble with eating or drinking so with it being a holiday I didn't call my dr.. I called today and he called right back and says it sounds like gallstones??? That women that lose weight fast are at higher risk for it to happen.. I've last 30 pds since surgery.. At first I was worried about a leak but he said it didn't sound it was a leak bc of lack of symptoms and that he wants me to get a ultrasound ASAP to see for the gallstones.. Has anyone else experienced this 3 weeks postop?? I'm pretty scared and just want to here others experience.. Thanks

I've read alot of posts where people had to get their gallbladder removed soon after having WLS. Mine was already out, but my surgeon said he always removes them at while he's in there just so the patient doesn't have to get cut again. Hope everything turns out well. Good luck!

I was sleeved 12/13, Icy Hot has been my lover the past two days. My back is killing me but I don't have a gallbladder. I have no other symptoms though so I'm not worried, I'm guessing it has to do with lack of calories, energy and weight changes. My doc says, We've got our bodies really confused! It will pass but it never hurts to talk to YOUR doc!

I had my gallbladder removed a couple of years ago (pre-surgery)- I had pain and heartburn, as well as right shoulder pain. I would go to your dr and ask for an ultrasound.

I wish you the best. My recovery from gallbladder surgery was much better than with the sleeve. You'll feel so much better without it!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
