Kissing obesity and my twenties goodbye!

Recommended Posts

I will be 30 tomorrow and I'm so excited to be entering my thirties and not be obese. I started my journey in November 2011 at 260lbs. I had surgery 3/13/2012 at 250lbs and a BMI of 49. Today I'm 175lbs with a BMI of 32 and 30 lbs from my personal goal. I'm excited about where the sleeve has taken me and where it will take me! I can't wait to go to the license bureau tomorrow and get my weight put on my lic :P

Congrats!!!! I know you are very excited!!!

I am excited. I have several birthday dresses to choose from compared to last year where I could only fit on old 2x gown. And now I can wear heels again because my knees don't hurt from carrying so much weight.

Happy Birthday!!!! I'm 30 next year (September), so I hope to look good by my birthday too.

Advice: Put on the cutest pair of heels, a fitted dress and make absolutely sure to cross your legs (since for so many years we couldn't). Have a great time Hun!!!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
