  1. I am posting this here because no other than fellow PCOSers would fully understand this. I STARTED yesterday! What's crazy is I hadn't had me period since the end of August and of coarse when I am only a few days out from surgery here comes aunt flo! So not only newly being sleeved I gotta deal with that. I guess it's a good thing maybe as I start to loose weight I will become more regular. I know that happened to me before when I lost alot of weight. Oh well I just wanted to complain somewhere about it and I feel better now. Next thing on my to do list is lazer hair removal. Maybe that can be a reward once the weight comes off.
  2. Hi, I am just looking into revision do to metabolic reasons and I am not sure I should. I had the sleeve 11/30/I2. I lost 60 lbs. SW 289 CW 229 I have been stuck this weight for almost a year I go back and forth from 232 down to 228. It is soooooooo frustrating. I have been reading up and it seems I may have a issue???? I eat 1200-1300 calories daily sometimes less and it is mostly low carb less than 50 carbs a day. Infact recently I have been doing 20 carbs a day, I don't work out like I should be I do work out at least 2 times a w aim for 3-4 though. This last week I didn't at all becasue I was sick but I am back in the game now. Anyway, I am at my wits end the hospital where I had my surgery thinks I just need to keep trying the 1200 calorie plan. Obviously my body like where it is at! UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So just curious if anyone has tried it for weight loss issues.
  3. I totally take most of the blame for this but I don't know what to do anymore and I need help! I haven't been on this sight in ages due to embarrassment. I have however joined a nice support group on facebook that has been a great support for me. So here is the deal: 6 months out I kinda fell off the wagon I ate what I wanted just smaller portions and I quit working out regularly. At that time I was about 240. Well mid summer I got back in gear and lost 10 more lbs. Then fall and the holidays came around and I found myself back in the lull and got discouraged. The first of January I started back up excersisng 3-4 times a week. Then the begining of Febuary I joined myfitnesspal and got on a 1200 calorie diet. I have only lost 2lbs since then! It is kind of discouraging and actually I have been back and forth between 232 and sometimes I get back down to 228 but I bounce right back up! I am beyound frustrated! I leave for a Florida vacation next week and I am going to quit stressing but once I get back I was thinking of doing Atkins and maybe the T25 work out? I don't know what else to do? I went to my PCP and had blood drawn and all the results were normal. My surgen I feel kind of left me high and dry I have never been informed of post op meetings. (but I found out they offer them) Also I moved and when I did I lost all of the paper work or "misplaced" it on what I am suppossed to be eating. I think I eat way to much for my stomach? I still have crazy hunger pains! I feel like the only non-sucess story out there. I mean yes I lost weight but I should be near my goal by now. I just feel like crying because I feel like I am back where I started before surgery. I know it's just a tool but I don't think I was given the right instructions to use this tool correctly. I am not saying I needed to be babied but I did need more support from the hospital and surgen to succeed! UGH!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway any one else out there like me or know someone like me? What did you/they do?
  4. Well thanks for the advice. First off I said I take most of the blame this is not my surgons fault I agree but they also did not give me the support like I have seen other surgens offices do that;'s what I meant. I felt abandonded. Just here is youre sleeve no go figure it out. Wasnt that the point of this to learn how to do things for support on how to use it to our advantage? I DID the pouch test I lost 5 lbs and it came right back on. I know my stomach works right now though. I am NOT making excusses now I am just telling you what happened this year because I WAS then. I think you all miss read this. I AM on a 1200 Calorie diet and I stay under 50 carbs a day about 100 grams of Protein. I work out 3-4 times a week I do a strength cardio work out. I have been great for 2 months. I am concerned about not loosing anything now? What I meant about waiting till I get back on Florida is I will start Atkins or some kind of new work out plan. I WILL still use my fitness pal and I will get plenty of excersie while I am there. I just wanted to know if anyone else has had this issue? I KNOW I SCREWED UP! But I am doing good now and I jkust don't understand it?
  5. Hello, I know this post was written many years ago but I am hoping you can help me! I had my surgery 11/30/13 and so I am currently 15 months post-op. I have only lost 60 lbs I still have about 60 to go. HW 290 SW 284 CW 229 First off I never got assigned a NUT like I see many other people on these sights do. I never went to a post op seminar but I was never invited to or rmeinded about it. Now I just found out that the hospital I had this at does offer them. Also they had out post surgical kits and I didn't get one because they were out that day? It had a bottle to help with Water intake a measureing spoon and guidelines on eating. Anyway, I had all the stuff they gave me before surgery I did great until about 6 months out. THat's when I still eating bad again...meaning I ate what I wanted but less. Also I quit exersing regularly. When I hit the year mark it was a wake up call January 1st I strated eating less carbs and joined myfitness pall which has me on a1200 calorie diet and I have been excersising 3-4 times a week. Well it's March and I have lost a whole 2 lbs!!!!!!!!!!! I just don't get it! I had blood work done and all is good??? I am thinking of going on Atkins? I don't know what else to do. It worked before but I gained it all backl now maybe it won't come back on because of te sleeve? Also I still get crazt hungry in the afternoon is that normal? I hope you are still on this website and can let me know what happend with your mom. THanks!

    June 2012 sleevers check in!

Well its good to see I'm not the only one. I'm 10 months out 60 lbs lost. I have been starved lately I feel like I have stretched my sleeve. I haven't been working out or measurei.g in months and I have been the same wright as the result. I did low carb diet thus week and I lost five pounds! But another issue we just started trying to conceive again. Not sure if that's smart but I'm not getting in younger. Idk.
  7. Hi, I had my surgery last November I only have lost about 60 lbs. I have been the same weight for the last 3 months. I know its my fault. I haven't been exercising and I haven't been watching what I eat. Now its possible I could be pregnant. I still have a week before I test but I feel like I could be. I would love to be but worried about my weight. I'm 230. I was 8 months pregnant at this weight with my last child. How can I start from here! Like I said I don't know yet so may be no reason to worry but I'm excited too. I'm confused...if not I may start trying cuz I'm not getting any younger. Is that stupid? Idk what happens with my weight loss? Anyone out there with similar issues or am I weird!?!
  8. Thank you that is really reassuring! I will just get back to exercise and if I do end up pregnant at least it will be a healthier one. I'll keep u updated. Its a week b4 I can take the test.
  9. Thanks I did just start working out again these last 2 weeks. I'm just unsure what to think right now.

    Stall in my weight

Hello, I have not been on here in quite some time because I have been in a stall. Seeing those posts really does help get me motivated. I know my problem I have not been exersising or REALLY paying close attention to my carb intake. I am 5 months out andI have been stuck a this weight for a whole month! So I joined a biggest loser contest in my town hoping that will motivate me. I know some of this is just a normal stall but alot of it or me is not putting the effort in. I amso happy I ran acoss this I think what you have said helped!
  12. I am finally in he 240's! Less than 100 to go!

  13. New week new outlook feeling better :)

  14. Thank you all for your advice this really helps. I think I'm going to go out and get a scale this week. I have been doing a lot better with my water intake. This past week I was sick and I only worked out once! Luckily I still lost 2 lbs but probably because I was sick. I got to get back on the sadle with working out because I really don't want a bunch of extra skin! Again thanks!
  15. Hello, I really need opinions of fellow slevers because when I talk to friends they just don't understand what I a going through. I am 3 months out of surgery and I am starting to feel discouraged. I think one of my main issues lack of exersise but I don't know. Here is the deal for the past month I have been loosing a average of 1.5 lbs a week. When i see all these post of where people are at after 3 months I feel like I could be doing more. I'm discouraged and I need a kick in the butt! MY Diet: I have been staying on the low carb thing I know I get enough Protein because geesh that seems to be all I eat that and veggies. I get a fruit in here and there and when I eat carbs I make it a very small amount. BUT I seem to be able to eat more now than ever and it scares me. I usaully can eat 8 oz every sitting and sometimes more. I really am not exactly sure how many oz I follow the plate diagram that my doctor gave me. I am afraid I have stretched my stomach I don't get that pain when I am full anymore...IDK? I know one issue I still seem to have is I still eat too fast...I know what I need to do but I still catch myself doing it!UGH! I guess 32 years of it is hard to break. Another thing I know I need to do is drink more Water between meals and I have been doing that the past 2 weeks. MY exercise: I have been walking a mile 2 times a week and areobics 1-2 times a week. (I know this is my issue) ONE MORE THING FOR YOU LADIES: I have been having my period every 2 weeks it is really light but geesh! This didn't start until after surgery the doc says it's from loosing weight but man it discourages me from exercise! PLEASE give me some insight I feel like a failure!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. Feeling Discouraged :(

  17. Today is my monthly weigh and measure day. It just happens to be my birthday too. Well 2 months out 29 lbs and 20" lost total. The weight loss isn't as much as I thought it would be but it is still freaking awesome! I hope to hit my goal of loosing 50. More by July because I'm a bridesmaid. Also June is my 10 year anniversary. What a great gift for the hubby! Lol! Anyway, exersise has been my downfall just gotta keep motivated.
  18. Thanks everyone! I had a nice birthday and I do not feel a day older but I do feel a bit smaller. I talked to the dress shop and they want to ordser the dress by March. I think I will at least order it a size smaller than I am now. I'm not sure if I loose that much by then I just can't imagine that! Maybe that is part of my problem I am not taking this to seriously? IDK? Working out has been my issue I have at least been trying for 3 days a week but sometimes I only get 2 in! UGH! You would think this wedding would motivate me but not yet! I have great days of motivation and then days like today. sorry to be a downer I need to hang a small pair of jeans up in myh room or something. Anyway, have a great week everyone!
  19. Loved your story and it wasn't boring to me! Also love that you named your sleeve. I just call mine sleeve. Very creative right? Anyway I have been down in the dumps about my weight not moving as fast as I thought it should. But when I measured myself today and found that I have lost 20" total that was just awesome! I just got to get back into motivation and start walking again. Reading your story also made me think we all lose differntly and as long as I am loosing there is nothing to be ashamed of so thanks. Good luck to us all!
  20. 20" total gone! Happy B-day to me what a great NSV!

  21. So we haven't heard from you lately just checking in ou your recovery. You doing okay?

WOW congrats everyone!!!!!!! My 2 month is not until the end of JAnuary I just hope and pray I do as well as you all. My goal was 30lbs but now I am thinking I should push for 35 or 40. I seem to be loosing slower than others but I am happy I am loosing! If I could lose 10 lbs a month I will be at my goal this time next year! HAPPY LOOSING EVERYONE COME ON 2013!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    It's hilarious to eat, now

I agree this sleeve is soooo noisy. My son asked me what was wrong with my belly. I told him him it's the new stomach getting used to things. Regarding the amount of food I totally agree! We went to my moms for dinner and she had stuffed peppers some cooked zuccini and some fruit. Plus cheesecake for desert! Normally I would of eaten all of that plus another 1/2 pepper, Yesterday I could only get down half a pepper and a few bites of zuccini. It's just so weird the difference now! I like it but weird! Sometimes now I feel like wow I ate all of that but then I think about what I used to eat and realize okay that's not bad at all.

    Last Week Of November?

First off it isnt fair to yourself to compare to a man they have higher metabolisms than us. Also I was sleeved on the 30th of November and I wouldnt call 25lbs in 1 1/2 months a bad thing!!!!!! Normal diet plans they say 1-2 lbs a week is healthy. You are still loosing so I wouldn't freak out just yet. I was bummed at my first stall but I realized aunt flo and having a cold had something to do with it. I wasn't active at all. It seems now that I can eat more I am loosing better. I think because I get more real proitein in and I am drinking water as often as I can. Plus walking and working out on the xbox has helped as well. Keep you head up. Just think if you hadn;t had the surgery would you be 24 lbs down now? Seeing the scale move has motivated me more to keep up the exersise because that is the key! Good luck!
