Wowo I can't believe the surgery is over. Was a little dizzy and nauseas, but other than that, not bad. I went in at around 1:00 PM, was scheduled for 11:30 AM. Was getting nervous the longer it took. My husband siad I was in for about 2:00 hours, that was sedating me and waking up. Not bad. The couldn't find my hiatal hernia, so I didn't have to have that repaired. Good I guess. Stayed overnight in hospital. Came home on Thursday night around 6:00 PM. Just have a little tenderness in rib area. He made 6 incisions. I have picts, but still embarrased to show them. Will eventually, when I have some progress. I am losing about 1 pound a day. Have to stop weighing myself though, because one day I lose the other I gain. I have a lot of swelling in my belly. But is going down a bit. I can lay on my side and get up and down OK which I am happy about. Showers are a little funny, because of the hot Water making me dizzy. Should put it cooler, so that's my fault. I am very hungry. Has anyone else been hungry. It's almost like I miss the chewing part. My stomach is always making funny gurgling noises. I feel like a baby, every time I eat Soup broth or a Protein Drink, I move my bowels like a newborns. Very waterry and gasey. I had my LapBand put on at Brigham and Womens in Boston, MA by Dr. Robinson. Anyone else go there or have him? Love to hear if my progress is normal. Can't wait until mussies. I am sooo hungry.

Congrats Suzanne! I would say yes, your progress seems very normal. I was very hungry the first week out, but could only eat small, small amounts. Throughout the whole liquid phase I never really felt full for longer than an hour. It was definitely tough, but something that has to be done. I was a little dizzy and weak my first week too. It's all part of the process I'd say. You sound like you're doing well though, which is great. Welcome to bandland!

Hi sueol!

I don't have Dr Robinson, but I am going to Brigham and Women's for my surgery this coming Thursday. My doctor is Ashley Vernon. I hope you're doing well! -Pebbles :)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
