Im 2 weeks post op. Ive been experiencing everyother day what feels like a slight burning sensation in my throat. Its as if there is a lump in my chest and/or throat and I want to vomit but I can't. Its kind of like I swallowed a peppermint patty that is now stuck in my throat. What is this? Has anyone experienced this?

My doctor put me on protonix. He described kinda what you did. He explained that even though your stomach is smaller you may produce the same amount of acids. It should press but talk with your doctor.

Yes it's acid continue taking your acid controller. My dr. put me on Zantac check with your surgeon about what your feeling just to confirm that everything's ok. Keep moving and keep that weight coming off.
